Absolutely lovely house. Clean and organized with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Communication was extremely good and prompt. The location is remote but very close to groceries and a wonderful base for area attractions. Check in was easy and checkout as well. Very quiet and relaxing and added bonus was the deer! Really enjoyed the stay and we highly recommend.

Girlfriend trip

The house is BEAUTIFUL! It is located in the country surrounded by fields, trees and tranquility. The grounds are meticulously manicured. The swimming pool is a perfect way to spend late afternoon or early evening. The interior has so much charm and is beautifully decorated. There are many details and everything you need to enjoy your visit.

Beautifully renovated cottage in a great location

We stayed at this excellent cottage for one week with our older teenage daughters. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us and more than enough for 6-8 people. The property is beautifully renovated and everything is provided that you could want. Even a couple of bikes to pop to the boulangerie in the morning. The cottage has no neighbouring properties for several hundred meters, so you were not disturbed at all. The location is great for exploring the region and taking walks through the country. Chambord is only 10 mins away by car and is a must visit. The pool was excellent. Very clean and ideal temperature and we used it a lot to relax and unwind. I recommend this rental to anyone wanting to explore the region and recommend our hosts, Melanie and Pierre very highly who were very diligent and helpful to make sure everything was as it should be. Thank you from Ian Ferris and the family.

Peaceful stay

This property is the best we have rented! The house is in a very peaceful location down a lane. It is very comfortable and extremely well equipped for 2 families, each family can be seperate in the upstairs or downstairs bedrooms with a large bathroom each. The bedrooms are very comfortable, they are large with good mattresses and linen, we slept very well as it was so quiet. The kitchen and living areas are very spacious for dining and sitting together. The interior decoration is really charming, we loved all the baskets, there is a lady making them at Bracieux market. The pool is wonderful, it's warm, well maintained with plenty of loungers and chairs. The garden is very spacious, with seating in many spots to enjoy the views, we saw a lot of birds and dear in the field the pool overlooks. Plenty of walks from the house into the countryside and it's a quick walk into town, we used the bikes provided too. Plenty to explore nearby with many chateaux and medieval towns. We enjoyed visiting places as far as Loches and Vendome as well as towns nearby, not to mention the numerous chateaux. Thank you Pierre and Melanie. We really enjoyed our stay at Le Montillon!

We had a lovely week with the family at Le Montillon. The house is nice, clean, well equipped and it has a pleasant garden with pool. Castles like Chambord and Cheverny are close by, just as Blois. Certainly worth a recommendation!

A charming Gite

Ein perfekter Urlaub!

Wenn man Ruhe braucht und mit sich und der Welt im Reinen sein möchte, ist dies der perfekte Ort zur Entspannung!! Dieses Haus ist von Mélanie und ihrem Mann so liebevoll und wertig eingerichtet, dass man auf nichts verzichten muss. Hier liegt die Perfektion unter anderem im Detail - vom Adapterstecker bis zum Spülschwamm, von Einkaufskörben bis hin zu der liebevoll gestalteten Wilkommensmappe! Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, wirklich viele Schlösser sind in unter einer Stunde Fahrtzeit zu erreichen und das kleine Dorf Bracieux bietet alles, was man so täglich braucht. Der Pool ist jedoch - zumindest für uns - das Highlight gewesen....groß, schön und mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht!! Chère Mélanie, merci beaucoup pour ces jours , qui étaient merveilleuses !!!! A la prochaine....

Superbe propriété avec localisation idéale

Nous avons passé une semaine dans la maison de Mélanie en famille avec des enfants en bas âge. La maison est bien adaptée aux familles (jouets, chambres décorées avec soins, équipement bébé, balançoire et jardin qui ont fait le bonheur de nos enfants). La piscine chauffée à 29 degrés est grande et située dans un cadre bucolique sans aucun vis à vis. D'autre part, la maison a une localisation ideale: à la fois au calme sans aucun voisin autour, mais à proximité de nombreux châteaux, et 45 minutes du zoo de Beauval. En résumé, nous avons passé une excellente semaine et recommandons chaudement la maison de Mélanie, qui a été très accueillante.

Wonderful Easter vacation

The cottage is spacious but at the same time cozy and perfectly kept. The location is ideal for visiting all of the chateaux in the area (some even by bicycle). The pool was not open yet because the weather was still too cold but we very much enjoyed the garden, bbq, pétanque and badminton…we will definitely return when it is warm enough to swim! The hosts were very welcoming and kind.

Excellent and peaceful holiday house

Melanie's house was perfect. Very near to the local village but far enough away to feel like you are really on holiday. The beds and towels were extremely comfortable, clean and new, like in a hotel!Melanie has thought of everything that you might need and the house is great for children with plenty of toys for outside and inside. A wonderful garden overlooking the beautiful surrounding fields. We had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you!
