“A real gem on the river. The host was amazing and quickly responded to my questions. We truly loved this peaceful cabin surrounded by trees. Nature abounded: bears, eagles, otter playing in the river, kingfisher hunting, geese flying in formation above the water, truly a nature lovers destination! The sunroom was a favorite for coffee in the am, wine in the evening, chatting or reading or simply watching the flow of the river. Cabin is well stocked and nicely appointed. Perfect for a couple. ……

Townsend is the a great location - close to the Great Smoky Mountains but far enough away from the busy tourist side of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It gave us the quiet mountain experience we wanted while still being convenient for exploring the area. ”
