Nice house, could update. Yard needed mowed.

Plenty of space in bedrooms, easily accommodated 8 with beds and couches. Entire house and property could be updated. New, bigger ground level deck would be nice. The yard needed mowed, which was disappointing. A/C stopped working last night of the stay.

Great location near Traverse City

Very nice property with a small lake in back. Really enjoyed the Kayaks and private lake views. Adirondack chairs at the lake area and near home fire pit were so relaxing! We used our fishing pole’s but not much luck with the fish. Pool table and Hot tub were great added amenities. We were able to drive to West End Beach and Cherry Festival very easily and fast.

BEWARE-NO AIR CONDITIONING!!

We rented this property for three nights over 4th of July weekend. When we booked it awhile back, we were unaware that this house did not have air conditioning, as it did not state either way in the description. We automatically assumed such a pricey rental would have the basic necessity of AC, esp during the hot summer months of July. (We noticed that it was mentioned in the info I was sent the day prior to arrival, when it was too late to cancel). Had we known there was no AC, we definitely would not have booked this place. The temperatures rose to 84-88 degrees inside the house. They did have a fan for most of the rooms, but that was very insufficient for the heat. We also had a pet with us, and were concerned for overheating (the pet was approved to be there). We were all super uncomfortable and this absolutely had a negative effect on our vacation. We were told by the owner that no AC is common in this area, but a quick glance at listings showed otherwise. I would not recommend this property and I would hate for others to encounter the same problem.
