“Although our stay was fleeting (just one night) we were made to feel extremely welcome by all of the staff. The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. Instead there was a DAB radio which was playing a soothing Classic FM when we entered our rather classy country pub hotel. Everything was to a very high standard in our room. “Beautifully finished apartment and to a high standard. The bed was lovely and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating on what was a very busy evening for them. Food was lovely and presented well, amazing coffee too. Location was great just what we needed for our trip.”

“I really enjoyed staying in this peaceful cottage, this is the second time I have stayed here. I slept very well in the comfy four poster bed and it's lovely not being troubled by light pollution. The coastal path is very close, and also a beautiful walk through the wooded valley to the waterfall. I had the option of using the log burner but found the cottage was cosy enough. There is lots to see and do in the area, but I chose to walk from the cottage every day, sketchbook in hand. I hope……

“Lovely castle. With great views! Room nice however Bathroom in room was a cupboard which let the room down. Breakfast was nice however overpriced for a limited selection, would be nice to have eggs royale for example. Also staff were very mixed on what was and wasn’t gluten free… a vegetarian breakfast was served instead. Not worth £17.50. ”

“Cute little cabin in a quite pretty location. Basic, but worth the money if you want a value for money private accommodation. My only comments (not complaint as these things don’t bother me). It was cold when I got there, it would have been nice if the heating could have been put on before arrival. The floor is freezing - bring slippers. The shower had a bit of a mind of its own and was either cold or red hot! It was cleanish but not perfect. And the tea tasted awful (not sure if water……

“The house is in a very good condition and fully furnished in all rooms, including 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms and the kitchen and a nice yard, which is the best as I have experienced. Very satisfied with this house and the landlord. Strongly recommend.”
