The location of this rental was excellent and ideal for exploring Tromso by public transit or on foot. The apartment looked like the VRBO photos, and the beds were comfortable.However, during our 3-night stay, we encountered several unresolved issues. Within the first few hours, we notified the owner that the internet was not working. Despite repeated requests for updates and clarification, the issue was never resolved or explained. We also reported that routine household items—hot pads, hand towels, toilet paper, and hand soap—were low or missing upon arrival. The owner said these would be delivered, but none were supplied during our stay.Prior to arrival, I confirmed with the owner that the washing machine was a combination washer-dryer. However, there was only a washer in the unit, contrary to what was promised. Although the owner was prompt to reply and apologize via the VRBO app, no action was ever taken on these concerns.Cleanliness was another issue; most dishes needed to be washed before use, and we found a discarded chicken bone in the cupboard with the trash can. Additionally, ice and snow buildup in front of the apartment door, worsened by roof melt, created a slipping hazard and made the door hard to open. No snow or ice removal was provided.Due to these persistent problems and lack of resolution, I would not recommend renting this property.
