“The cabin was awesome. It was far enough back from the main road that we didn't get a lot of traffic, but it was close enough that we walked to the lake. It was clean and had a lot of space in it for the 5 of us. It had everything that we needed, and we will be rebooking again for next year immediately.”

I would rate the cleanliness as good instead of excellent; quite a few large spiderwebs, carpets with some staining, bath rugs well worn and bathtub that could a little TLC. “Our stay at the Hillside Haven for seven nights was very relaxing. It is a house in a quiet neighborhood of Truckee with very easy access to Lake Tahoe and many other areas. The management company was excellent. I liked that the living area was upstairs and that there were pretty views of the forest and mountains and a cross breeze on warm days. “Before I arrived i believe there were 5 separate reminders to be quiet. It felt like i was being micromanaged and nearly cancelled the rental. I would not say that was the most welcoming customer service I've received.No AC. Take this under consideration if visiting during the summer. Guests weren’t thrilled. The bbq was not cleaned prior to our arrival. In fact when we turned it on it started a pretty severe grease fire we needed to contain. I'd suggest having the bbq cleaned regularly. At……

“Fantastic place; virtually brand new. Back deck with grill is nice to chill on after a long day of swimming/hiking/etc., and a good number of bedrooms to split up kids if need be. Two-car garage is a plus so you can store bikes, floaties, etc. rather than leave in car or drag inside. Good kitchen with pretty much everything you'd need from plates to spices and stuff. We did take advantage of the local "HOA" pool, and my wife used the gym there. So setting up a "base camp" of sorts worked well……

“The cabin was perfectly located for our weekend snowmobiling adventure with HighLine Adventures at Kingvale. Close enough so that those who tired early could walk back to the cabin which is cozy, warm and nicely appointed. It was so nice that any time we were not on the snow, we spent back at the cabin rather than driving into Truckee. Lots of space for playing games, cooking, and telling tales. The woodstove is awesome. Andy is a remarkably thoughtful and responsive host. Great pre-check……
