To reach Kings Beach, guests can walk a mile to Northstar Village Gate #8 and take the Hwy 267 Truckee Depot to Crystal Bay station route, which is about a 15-minute bus ride. For a visit to the historic town of Truckee, guests can take the same bus heading north and arrive in Truckee in approximately 20 minutes.

Several cab companies operate in the area, and Uber and Lyft are available, though availability can be seasonal and limited at times.
