Couldn't be more disappointed and upset
We were 100% dissatisfied with our rental experience.
When we arrived the resort hade opened all windows and provided a few fans to cool off the condo as it was nearly 100 degrees over the weekend. Only 3 of 6 windows had screen coverings. We had to spend time swatting all of the mosquitos and other bugs that had come into the condo because of the missing screens. The only way to cool off the unit was to be able to open these windows to get the outside cool breeze. The furnished fans didn't help as all they did was recycle hot air. One of the rooms that was missing a screen was entirely void of any air as bugs kept coming in. Very simply this could be avoided by purchasing screens for the windows. We spoke with the resort and they said the responsibilty was that of the owner not theirs. Then I reached out to the property manager to voice my disapproval and they tried and are still trying to put blame on the resort. The other MAJOR issue was the non-existence of internet we tried several times to connect without success. We then tried the front desk several times before we finally got someone who suggested another network, but that didn't work either.
I have now been dealing with this for a week now trying to get refunds for the inconvenience and intolerable accommodations. No one should rent at Northstar or from Leavetown property management until things are corrected. VRBO also should be protecting their members from these below par resorts and property management companies
