Lake Changu or Tsongmo is a glacial lake 40 kilometres away from Gangtok.I went there in December…peak of winters..it was freezing cold in gangtok only so you can imagine at an elevation of 3780m.When i saw this mesmerising view of the half frozen lake,my body temp was back to normal due to sudden excitement.The sun rays on the snow and water made them sparkle.It was beautiful.A camera can't capture 20% also of what your actual eyes see.

Tsomogo lake attracts many a tourists, its one of the major attractions of Sikkim State...a growing destination for adventure tourism.

One of the few and awesome high altitude lakes in India. The lake becomes doubly attractive with the reflections of the surrounding hills in the water.
