While it was unfortunate that it rained during our stay, the scenery from the bath was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by vibrant greenery. The room was spacious and elegantly designed with a traditional Japanese feel. The meals were delicious, and the staff provided exceptionally polite and attentive service. Located in the mountains, the hotel offered a peaceful setting where we could truly connect with nature. It was a wonderful getaway, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Excellent dinner and breakfast. All the rooms with western syle beds were fully booked. So we had to stay in a Japanese style room, We were traveling with senior citizens, so it a little hard for them, and the rooms were on the second floor with no elevator. Everyone in our group enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this place very traditional Japanese experience.

Very traditional hotel. Amazing views, good Japanese breakfast and real onsen. A bit hard to reach by public transport. The building has very original materials which someone might consider as worn out. This didn’t bother us. We were not looking for “Dubai” hotel.

三世代で、2度目の宿泊です。 細部まで行き届いた心配りが、とても素敵なお宿です。 16時頃チェックインした際には、玄関でお出迎え＆客室までの案内もあり、最近はチェーンや大型宿泊施設の合理的なサービスに慣れていたため、改めて日本旅館のおもてなしの良さを実感しました。 客室や、施設内は清潔に保たれており快適に過ごせました。 個人的に良かった点は、 ・お部屋のお茶菓子が種類豊富で美味しく、ペットボトルの水も有難い ・クラシック音楽の流れたロビーのラウンジが寛げる ・足ふきタオル常備の足湯が気持ち良く景色も楽しめる ・大浴場が良い(スリッパ目印用のクリップがある、コロコロがあり床に落ちた他人の髪の毛がストレスにならない、メイク落とし等必要な基礎化粧品が揃っている、畳のような大浴場の床が柔らかく気持ち良い、露天風呂がある) ・地のもの含め色々なものを少しずつ食べられる夕食が美味しい(中学生の子供には、エビフライや唐揚げ等の代替メニューもありつつ、大部分は大人と同じメニューで子供も満足) ・朝ごはんは質素ながら地のものを意識したメニューが美味しい、コーヒーテイクアウト用のカップがある ・部屋の歯ブラシは目印になるよう色違いで揃えられている ・子供には浴衣でなく甚平もある ・筑波山入口すぐの立地 などなど。 家族皆良い時間を過ごせたので、また機会があれば3度目宿泊したいです。

歴史を感じる素晴らしい旅館で、料理も美味しく頂き、温泉も気持ち良く利用させて頂き、概ね満足ですが、敷布団が小さ過ぎだと思います 私は普通体型で寝相が悪い訳でもないですが、手足を少し伸ばすと布団に収まらず、寝苦しい一夜を過ごしました 昨今大柄な外国人も少なくないでしょうし、せめて大の字で寝られるサイズが欲しいと感じました でもそれ以上にスタッフさんもサービスも含め素晴らしかったので、是非また利用させて頂きたいと思います 大変お世話になりありがとうございました

部屋も、大浴場も綺麗で過ごしやすかったです。 朝食も美味しかったです。 夕飯ですが、 宿周辺にお店はあるんですが、夕方にやっているお店がほとんどないので、夕飯付きのプランにするか、何か買って行った方がいいなと思いました。
