「We have stayed here on multiple occasions, and overall we would recommend the INN ON THE RIVER to anyone wishing to explore and experience the Woodstock/Queche Vermont area. The atmosphere and decor of the inn is topnotch. There is some maintenance/upkeep work to be done on the inn's exterior wooden structures, especially at the back of the inn facing the river (re:sanding and re-staining). Also, the breakfast is lacking a fresh fruit mix assortment (melons, berries grapes, etc). Otherwise,...

「This hotel is in a decent location, tucked away and quiet but near stores. And we appreciated the free breakfast. But that's it for positives. The beds weren't very comfortable, overall it wasn't very clean, and the hotel was completely inflexible about charging us for two days even though we had to change our plans and only stayed one day. So we paid extra for a pretty dumpy hotel. A helpful and flexible management would have gone a long way toward us overlooking imperfections.」

「Very peaceful setting! Love the chairs on the back deck, looking out onto the yard. Everything was clean and well kept. Check-in was effortless. I would definitely stay here again.」
