Overall, the staff were incredibly nice, and the hotel was very clean. It was a hassle to bring in outside drinks, even water, which keeps it from just being shy of 5 stars. Overall, highly recommend

Hotel Africa is very nice as located on Av Bourguiba (center Tunis), walkable area around, staff is welcoming and rooms are correct, also half board is a good value for money. Only missing is good wifi in rooms (weak signal).

Arrived frazzled from Carthage after my flight out was cancelled having booked the room from the taxi on the way from the airport. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. This is a first class hotel with first class customer service. A ten out of ten.

The property is as usual, but, this time, I want to add something, which is, ANIS, who is the concierge/ porter is the best among all the staff. He is experienced and extend more help to clients, even fixing problems that the reception guys has made and don't want to solve, so as to satisfy the client. An exception is also Soumaya of the reception, who has been doing her best to satisfy client. Therefore, if ever you stay there keep in touch with ANIS.

Good location in the center at the Main Street of the city. Shops, restaurant and bars walking distance. Negatives: my room had bed bugs. So I changed and the second room had the toilet flushing intermittently. I paid the taxes at booking but the manager demanded me to pay again. The rooms are being scavenged by workers who come in pairs to drop a towel or sugar or a bottle of water hoping the occupants are not in. One stays on the lookout and the other one hunts in the room. Please try never to prepay with Expedia because you will get a run down inferior room. This has happened to me countless times in the past. I am not fussy so I am able to cope. Tunis is beautiful and the people are friendly.
