The room I stayed in was very much in need of upgrading or painting. Lots of irregular stains on various places in the room. I was locked in because the bathroom door could not be opened from inside or outside the door. Fortunately the hotel attendant brought a device that finally got it open and liberated me! Yay!

I really enjoyed my stay and the manager, Ms Renae and her staff was the best. This was my second stay and it very convenient to all restaurant and gas stations within walking distance. I would recommend this to anyone looking for affordable accommodation and really don’t want to spend a lot of money everything is less than 15 minutes away

The check-in staff was great—friendly and welcoming—but unfortunately, that was the only positive part of our stay at Sleep Inn in Tuscaloosa. The hotel was filthy. The air conditioner in our room leaked, there was mold in the bathroom, and the floors in both the room and hallways were extremely dirty. The towels had stains on them, and it was obvious that surfaces in the room had not been properly wiped down or cleaned. Cleanliness is one of the most important things I expect from a hotel, and this property fell far below an acceptable standard. The staff was nice, but the condition of the hotel was BAD. I would not stay here again unless some serious improvements are made to the cleanliness and maintenance.

TERRIBLE!! Front staff was okay..1st room smelled badly of mold/mildew..then later on our neighbors decided to light up amd my family was subjected to really strong weed smell. Front staff moved us room. Next room had urine stains on toliet, toliet paper had been half used, toothpaste running down countertop, dripping facets, and uncleaned facets We were then told they didn't have housekeeping service..like what?!! I always check for bugs near the mattress and pillows before lying down and Im sure glad I did..because low and behold, MULTIPLE BEDBUGS!!! WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!

We entered the property and was told there was no elevator. Fine for us but clearly not ADA compliant. When we entered the stairwell all of the doors were propped open (including the door to outside so there was zero security there). Going into our room, the sheets were damp and the comforters were visibly dirty. I pulled back the sheets of the bed and found curly body hairs and scabs inside the “clean” sheets. The pillow had blood stains on the pillow visible through the pillow case. There was crusted bloody chunks on the walls by the headboards. We immediately went to the lobby to request another room. We met another gentleman who was also down there to also switch his room due to uncleanliness. We knew we were in a bind due to it being family weekend at the college and a home football game so no other hotels would have space. We took the second room despite the floor clearly not having been cleaned. There was a random pill on the floor of the second room but the sheets appeared clean so we stayed. The towels were all either threadbare or stained or dirty. We asked for new towels which weren’t much better. Neither of the lobby bathrooms had hand soap any of the days we were there. While the desk staff were quite nice and not at all surprised we asked for a room change, the cleaning staff is either non existent or not monitored by the chain. Do not recommend at all.
