This spacious retreat includes two family rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, an inviting eating island, and a comfortable pull-out couch, providing ample relaxation space for a large group of family and friends seeking an escape from urban life.

Surrounded by decks on three sides and large windows, Stony Point provides the ultimate North Shore lake view, day and night. With no city lights to interfere, you can gaze at the night sky, catching glimpses of the Milky Way or the mesmerizing Northern Lights.

Conveniently located just 15 miles from Duluth and 7 miles from Two Harbors, you'll have access to shopping and restaurants. The Knife River Marina, only 1 mile away from Stony Point Place, offers a boat launch and a sandy beach. Hiking enthusiasts will find numerous trails nearby, including the scenic Knife River Trails.

For those with the flexibility to work remotely, Stony Point is an ideal place to call home, whether you're looking for a short stay to recharge or an extended month-long getaway, offering a unique North Shore experience far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We offer off-season and monthly rates. Rates are base in 4 or less occupants. $30/person extra charges apply.

Enjoyed every minute

We had a great time. The views were wonderful, the kids enjoyed playing by the water and at night we enjoyed cooking on the fire pit. Plenty of room for all of us and was a great place for a family vacation.

This home had incredible views of Lake Superior! Lots of room for sitting, an extremely well-stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds made this a wonderful place for us to spend a long Thanksgiving weekend.

Excellent view, yard, and huge deck!

We enjoyed the awesome weather; the yard was big enough to set up a badmitten net and play overlooking Lake Superior. Beautiful campfire spot. A great location between Two Harbors & Duluth.

Great Family Getaway

We booked this beach house for a family getaway to the North Shore and couldn't have been happier! The property was exactly as described, clean, and we'll stocked for all our needs as we relaxed together and explored the Knife River/Two Harbors area. Great Views

This is our second trip to this location and we love it for the views. There is a lot of activity with boats of all sizes, trains, and wildlife. We love sitting on the deck and watching Lake Superior and all her wonders.

Family Vacation

This was our third stay at Stony Point and our favorite. We saw many ships pass on the lake - even a cruise ship. The house was more than big enough for our family of five adults and we loved being able to sit out on the patio and down at the fire pit. We did enjoy that the owner did update and add power ports in all the living area and bedrooms.

Beautiful location for a family getaway

This home has a beautiful view of Lake Superior. Close to Two Harbors and Duluth. And it made a day trip to Grand Marais and all the sights in between very doable. Our family, ages 50 - 80, found it comfortable with all the amenities of home.

Pictures do not do justice to waking up and drinking your coffee looking at the lake thru the picture windows! The house was cozy and setup great for visitors, everything we needed was prepped and laid out, and made things easy to just relax. Thx

Sibling Reunion

My siblings and spouses needed a place to gather around Duluth. This location was just as advertised. Easy arrival and departure. The place is very well stocked with needed service ware, cooking ware and utensils. Nice big deck to gather and eat on. Lovely big yard. Fantastic proximity to the lake and nice view. The property is quiet albeit the occasional train which runs close to the house but only during the day so not significant.Everything worked well and we had the supplies we needed that were promised to be provided.A good experience!

We loved this house. Great location right on the lake The only complaint: the flood lights over back deck kept coming on which attracted bugs and didn’t let us look at the stars or meteorites shower. There should be a way to turn those off at night to be able to star gaze

The view and beach area were excellent! The home was OK but not worth the cost. Older home trying to keep up, just not a good fit for us. Could have been cleaner. Bedroom/bathroom layout is not convenient. Kitchen is small.

Fantastic Property!

We absolutely loved our stay at Stony Point. The property is amazing, directly on Lake Superior with our own private lake front. The house was clean and lovely, with beautiful views of Lake Superior from almost every room. We appreciated lots of little touches, like fans in every room (though there is air conditioning as well), nightlights, a well stocked kitchen, lots of towels. The best feature was a fantastic HUGE deck overlooking the lake. There is also a huge yard and the home had several yard toys/games available. We used the fire pit every night. They really thought of everything. We had a wonderful time and would love to stay here again!

Pros and Cons

Outside area, location and views are fantastic. However the house left a little to be desired. Master bedroom had no closet to hang clothes (and we were in town for a wedding and wanted to hang our good clothes up). It also had no AC unit and wasn’t lit very well at all. Both showers were extremely slippery, almost dangerously slippery. Everyone did think the beds were pretty comfortable, so that was a plus. Luckily
