This house is situated in a great spot in Tybee. The smaller fishing pier and creekside beaches are great for all kinds of activities.

Wonderful, stay on Tybee Island

We were an all adult family staying on Tybee Island. The house had all the amenities that we wanted and was spotless. It was a short walk to the beach access on the sound side and restaurants the bedrooms were spacious with comfortable mattresses. The rental agency was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Wow! We loved this property for our yearly family trip! The neighborhood was so peaceful and we were within walking distance of the beach/shops/restaurants/quiet waterways (where the amazing sunsets happen). The home was absolutely stunning with so much indoor and outdoor seating areas and large, well-appointed bedrooms to accommodate the 6 of us. We spent hours on the screened-in porch with coffee in the mornings and games on the big dining table at night. We had access to the lovely pool which was a short drive away-a definite bonus. The communication of the management company was top notch! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

family vacation/birthday celebration

The house was perfect for our family with plenty of room . We really appreciated the elevator for baggage and groceries as well as two seniors and one broken leg in the group. The kitchen was well outfitted. The only drawback was lack of extra paper goods and pool towels.

Long weekend

We found everything to be very clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed being able to spend a day in Savannah and a day exploring the island. We enjoyed being able to cook at the house, relax and enjoy just spending g time together. Thank you for a very nice stsy

Above our expectations!

The house was beautiful. It was clean and in a great location on Tybee Island. We are a family of nine. We had enough space for everyone. The screen porch was lovely to sit; visit and have our morning coffee. The property manager was on top of everything. Great place for a family vacation!!!

Fantastic House!

10 women traveled to Tybee Island for my daughter's Bachelorette party. Everyone was extremely impressed with the Cedar House we rented, especially the elevator! It was very clean, well equipped, easy to find and right between the Atlanta beach and Tybee inlet (where there were fantastic sunsets!) We never had to leave the island (except to pick people up at the airport) since everything we needed was right there--even the IGA was less than 3 minutes away by car. I would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone traveling to Tybee Island!

Perfect location for all accesses to NW and SW side of island.

We were there to celebrate a friend’s wedding. The home was clean, well furnished, and perfectly located to access both the NW and SW areas of the island. Pool access is @ 10 minute walk. Beach access 5-10 depending on beach. Great home. Recommend golf cart rental.

Beautiful, spacious home.

We loved our stay in this beautiful, clean, welcoming home. The neighborhood is quiet and you can easily walk to the beach or the back river. After dinner, we would get a drink and stroll to the river to watch the sunset. It's close to the shops and restaurants, but not in the middle of all the action. Remember to bring your beach chairs and umbrellas. There were a couple of each for us, but you will want more. We brought our beach wagon with us to cart everything to the beach. Southern Belle's team was responsive when we contacted them during our stay. There was a power outage on the island, so they were getting lots of calls I'm sure, but were responsive and pleasant. Restaurants can get crowded, and there is one small grocery store on the island. It's a good idea to bring much of your food, and eat at home. You will enjoy the big, well stocked kitchen, and multiple tables for eating.

It was nice, but. . . .

This was my first time booking a place for a large group so I accept some fault for not digging more to understand what we rented. Having said that, I shouldn't have to dig so hard! The house was clean and lovely. However, it was a long walk to the beach for a 5 year old. Beware of "Pool Access". The photo implies it is across a courtyard. No. It is also blocks away AND HAS NO PARKING. All parking on Tybee Island is Pay - at least $8. The house furnishings seemed stingy. One towel per person per week. ("Just launder them or bring more - and bring your detergent"). 4 dishwasher tablets for the week. We ran out of toilet paper. Having flown in, we were unable to bring extra towels, etc. We had to text for a pool code. That didn't always work but whoever answered the phone was friendly. A map of the island would have been nice; finding the beaches was not easy. It was soooo hot that just walking around to explore was not an option. Overall it was a positive experience but not quite what I had expected.

Great house and location for girls getaway

This house was perfect for the 5 of us for our girls getaway trip. There was ample parking available, and the house was easy to find. The property was well maintained, beautifully decorated, and exactly as pictured on the website. We wiped things down when we arrived due to COVID, and the wipes came back clean, which let us know it had been properly cleaned before our arrival. The house had a well stocked kitchen, and everything worked well, with the exception of the dishwasher which was temperamental. We did not try to use the offsite pool location, as the procedure to gain access was inconvenient and the hours were somewhat limited, but we enjoyed the screened in porch on the rear of the property. The location was very convenient with an easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. You cannot see the water from the house, but you could hear the ocean and the main pier and beach access were about 5 blocks away. The drive into Savannah took us 20-30 minutes and I would suggest doing your grocery shopping there, but there were smaller stores on Tybee if needed. The beach was clean and beautiful but the surf was strong. There were drinks and small food items available for purchase at the pier (cash only). My only small complaint would be the the late standard check-in time (4pm) and the early standard check-out time (10am) but those times can be adjusted for a fee. The property managers were very responsive to questions before and during our stay and sent several informational emails with all information needed to enjoy our vacation. Overall, this was a wonderful property in a wonderful location!

Great Girls’ Weekend Escape

Came here for three nights with five women for a grown up girls’ weekend - perfect house for our needs. Plenty of open hang out space - the flow of the downstairs was ideal for eating, lounging, playing games etc. We didn’t use the kitchen at all except for the fridge to hold our drinks but it looked beautiful and up to date. They supplied all the right things - coffee filters, paper towels, hand and dish soaps, linens, towels, etc. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants and easy access to the south/river beach which we loved. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood, private back yard and screened in porch. Check in was a breeze. The only complaint we have is the pool access situation. The first day when I texted to get the pool code the person who responded said they didn’t know if the pool would even be open that day but they’d text me back if it was. I never got a text back so we walked to the pool later that day and it was open and people were swimming inside. I texted again for the code and got no response so I called and they gave me the code but reminded me the pool was only open for 30 more minutes. At 5 o’clock a woman who called herself the “Fun police” came and asked everyone to promptly leave the pool. It sucked since we had just gotten there and had only waited because we weren’t even sure the pool was open and no one communicated that to us. We didn’t even bother going to the pool the next day. The pool hours and process are not convenient for guests (you have to text every day the time you’re going and the number of people you have in order to get that day’s code). Closing at 5pm every day even on the weekends and in the summer just seems strange. We would love to have ended our beach days with a late afternoon/evening dip in the pool but the management company has clearly set up the hours so it’s convenient for them rather than the guests paying for it. Otherwise - the house itself and the rest of the process was pretty perfect. We pretty much all agreed we’d go back to that house if/when we come back.

Great Location

Cedar House is a beautiful home with plenty of room for your family or group. The outdoor areas are great with a front and multiple levels of porches in the back that give ample room for quiet spots to enjoy a cup of tea or read a book. The location is ideal for quick access to the back river and sand bar area of the beach as well as short walk to restaurants and stores.

Sister Vacation

Four sisters at the beach! The house was great fun. The elevator was an added bonus. The screened in porch was a favorite hangout.
