Three generations

I traveled with my daughter, my oldest granddaughter and a friend of her’s. We loved the property. The beach was beautiful and the pool area well maintained. We had a few meals at the restaurant and have no complaints. The food was good and the service was excellent. The only complaint I would have is that the condo wasn’t very clean. Tubs and sinks were in need of a good scrubbing and the floors were very sandy on our arrival.

The customer service was fine; they still have my name wrong, and charged more to book direct than the price offered on VRBO. But, they did work with me to make our dates available, so I didn’t argue the point. It was great to have a restaurant right on site. It was fantastic to have beach access right outside our door. Wish there were a tad larger (perhaps fenced) dog area - but the fact that we were allowed dogs at all was plenty worth it! I definitely recommend Beachside Colony for a stay on Tybee.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was not very clean. Walking on the floors without shoes turned our feet black in minutes - I don't think they've been mopped for a very long time. It was obvious that it wasn't vacuumed well either. The air conditioning unit leaks water onto the water heater below and the pan under the water heater is full of water. The refrigerator is very rusted. There was a layer of dust on all of the lamps where the switches are and on all of the air vents and returns. The place definitely needs a deep cleaning and some repairs. Oh, and there were only four forks in the silverware drawer. This is our second time at this facility and we love the restaurant on the property and the location, but this unit left a lot to be desired.

It was in a great location steps away from the pool/deck n bar and the ocean access! My kids loved it. The pool was nice and warm and not over crowded. The food and drinks are also pretty good too. We had a very comfortable stay and would def come back. The only thing missing is waking up to an ocean view but for the price you can't beat it! Had all the amenities and things you would need! Highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Tybee!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The good, it was a decent location, beds were clean, they were working on cleaning the outside up with landscaping and fresh paint.The bad- the condo was outdated, the floor was so dirty that when you did not wear shoes they turned the bottom of your feet or socks black. The counters were mostly clean. The appliances functioned but the fridge has all sorts of rust in it. We tried to use the vacuum on the floors and rugs but it didn't have enough power to suck anything up.The couch was in very poor condition and was very unfordable to even sit on. You can certainly tell it has been some time since the owners have put money back into this place. Overall we enjoyed the location and the fact that they had a pool and a good beech. The restaurant was fantastic with great food and service!

The property is spacious and very clean. Check in process is a breeze. The location could not be better. We absolutely enjoyed the heated pool, the beach and the convenience of the Deck beach bar and restaurant is right next to the pool. We will definitely be back!

The property could be a bit cleaner (I found mice poop under the sink) and the master bathroom shower needs updating. Having a pool with a bar/restaurant was awesome!

Thanksgiving Beach Vaca

The property was well-appointed, nicely decorated in a beach theme, very clean, and had lots of room. The balcony is huge and all the furniture very comfortable. We cooked a full Thanksgiving meal for five and did not lack any kitchen utensils or dishware. Loved it.

The floors, counter tops were not completely clean. The air vents had noticeable black mold in them especially the one near front door. There were fleas on furniture and beds. We all got ate up. There were roaches!! One was huge. Master shower was moldy. Towels had stains. No trash bags. The pool was closed by the health department on our 4th day there due to a violation. This was the day after we went to pool and it was nasty. We were supposed to have view of pool but could barely see it qbut could dumpster that was full and stinky. Also they wanted to show the condo because it was for sale during our stay.

Great stay at Tybee

Property was clean, safe, and spacious. Deck was large and perfect for hanging out anytime of day. Only about a 20 foot walk to the beach boardwalk, we had a great time!

Beachside Colony on Tybee Island

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved Beachside Colony. It was a great vacation overall. We chose a condo that was not directly on the beach to save a little money and were surprised to find how close we were to the pool, beach and restaurant anyway. It was such an easy walk to the beach and great beach access. There are a couple of other restaurants we could walk to nearby as well. We did use the kitchen in the condo for breakfast and lunches to save on expenses with our family. This condo has 2 full beds and that was great for our older kids. We look forward to coming back without the kids this fall so we can enjoy a less busy and more relaxing vacay ;)
