Great place to stay & will again!!

Really enjoyed our stay. Place was awesome, quiet, had everything needed for an enjoyable stay and private. Close to everything and the hot tub was a bonus after hiking the trails. Definitely will stay again.

This place is perfection

We absolutely loved staying here. The location is amazing - a short walk to both the beach and into town. And the place itself is absolutely lovely. Beautiful and peaceful area and the cabin has all the amenities you would need and is incredibly comfortable, clean, and cozy. The hot tub was clean and prepped for us. John was super friendly and accommodating and check in was well communicated. Absolutely 10/10 and we hope to stay again - thanks for having us!

Tucked away

As soon as you walk into the cabin, it smells like the forest due to how it was built. Has all the conveniences and close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Great location

This lovely cabin is quiet, comfy, cozy, with all amenities. The beach and coastal trails are a 5 minute walk, town is 15 minutes. Hot tub is always available. Very nice.

A wonderful stay!

The pictures do not do this cabin justice! This was the first time a rental was nicer in REAL life than in the pics :) We had a lovely time - the shared hot tub was never occupied when we needed it, everything was very clean and new (comfy bed!) and the bathroom and shower were great, with great pressure in the rain-style shower head. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome Stay

This property exceeded our expectations. It's clear that a lot of effort went into the design and construction of the cabin. It's well laid out, beautifully built, and has all the finishing touches - black out blinds, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen. We also enjoyed the hot tub after a day at the beach. Will definitely be back!

Love this property!

The location and cabin were top notch. The photos of the cabin on listing do not do it justice. It was beautifully designed and executed, every detail was well thought out. The cabin was SPOTLESS when we arrived. Bed was very comfortable and all furnishings in cabin brand new. We would return for sure!

Winter hidey hole

We arrived after an unprecedented snowfall for the area to find that the community had worked to clear roads well. Our cabin was very cozy and warm, and our host went above and beyond, given the situation of the weather. From the site, almost everything it a walk-able distance in Ucluelet. 10/10 would go again.

Beautiful, cozy little cabin that feels like your own little corner of the forest. There are other cabins nearby, but things are arranged so that you mostly can't see them from the front door. Easy walking through beautiful nature-filled sidewalks to a dozen or so restaurants in Ucluelet and the grocery store. The place was clean and had everything we needed but didn't think about, including a kettle and a french press for coffee and more. Could not recommend highly enough for a romantic getaway.

Amongst the Trees

John has built a couple of quaint little homes with special craftsman touches amongst his property’s big trees. It’s a great place to just kick back at the rental and also use as a base for taking in all the area has to offer. Two days for us (we were at the end of our stay on the island) was just enough time to convince us that we had to come back to the area for at least a week to really get it all in. The hot tub was just being placed on the property when we left, so looking forward to using it next time we visit. Thanks John.

I spent last weekend at the cabin. I only bought this gateway because of the hot tub. The advertising didn't show that the hot tub wasn't shared. for the price, it shouldn't be a shared hot tub; plus and most important, right after parking, I fell really bad at this entrance area with no sleepery sign or anything, it was a storm and the entrance was wet and slippery. I'm hurt and i hope it doesn't gets worse by tomorrow. I texted the host about the hot tub, and doesn't sounded like he cared about his fake advertising. The cabin is cool, but needs to be real with what they are offering. I won't be back.

Great Getaway!

This cabin and the property give you the feeling of being in the woods but you’re minutes away from the city core! The cabin itself was beautiful- you’re met with the smell of cedar when you walk in. You get all the modern essentials like wifi, tv, full bathroom while still feeling like you’re “in nature”. The only suggestion I have is that we arrived quite late in the night and found the property quite hard to find. Other nights the address was illuminated so I think it was just bad luck on our part. We also found a cleaning rag stuck under the sheet in the bed but wasn’t a big deal, we had a good laugh about it.

Highly recommend for quiet getaway

Conveniently located by Wild Pacific trail. Easy walking to many amenities. Perfect for two people. Had to re-wash most dishes and bottle opener was dull so it didn’t work, some cutlery was missing. Basic cookware provided but bring your own griddle. Very lovely set up in cabin #3 but wasn’t aware how close other rentals were to our cabin. Communal hot tub located across driveway near another cabin so not private (that is clear in listing) Very dark driveway to navigate at night for late check in but well laid out. Would stay again, loved our time there. Would have preferred composting and recyclable options for the shared property.
