「traditional japanese hotel with japanese style room and shared bath pool. tiny but nice. very close to the main shopping streets of Nara and Nara train station (Kintetsu, not JR). easy to reach the most famous sightseeing spots of Nara too.」

「It’s a small inn but the location is excellent and the staff is endlessly helpful. The public bath is nice but like the private bath in my room was a little worn out and I can definitely see someone getting a splinter if they behave like a fools. The daily breakfast was a delightful spread of classic Japanese dishes and everyday a cup of tea and a snack was waiting for me when I got back in the from heat.」

「I only stayed for 1 night but overall experience was good. Its room is large than most of hotel in Japan. The hotel stuffs are very polite and professional. The breakfast is also very good. 」

「We traveled around Japan for three weeks, but our stay at Asahikan was definitely the highlight of our trip. It was three wonderful days of amazing Michelin-level food, hot baths and relaxing in yukata - surrounded by an interior architectural gem. Asahikan is easily accessible from Osaka and Kyoto - a short train ride followed by a short bus/taxi ride. We took the taxi, which was very cheap and easy. You get incredible value for your money - the place is beautifully decorated and well...

「The staff were beyond friendly and hospitable! My friend staying with me was having medical issues and we were immediately offered help/accommodations in any way possible. The bath has a fantastic view over Nara, the property is nestled amongst some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen, our room was very cozy, and the breakfast in the morning left us full and satisfied. Somehow in a Country other than my home, I felt right at home. If I ever come back to Japan, I’d be remiss if I didn’t...
