Great Stay!

Great stay - property looked just like the pictures. Good location just 10 minutes from Whiteface and 25 mins from Lake Placid. Gene was very responsive in communicating before, during, and after our stay.

Family fun!

We had a wonderful time at grand meadows lodge. The house is perfect with great thought given to making it a holiday paradise! We played ping pong, board games, relaxed on the spacious deck and of course lounged in the hot tub. Gene was always available for questions. Great bacation home for big groups!.

Grand Meadows Lodge

Had a wonderful time staying here. Plenty of room for everyone. The Kitchen was stocked with all the cooking utensils we needed. Views of the mountains were great. Downstairs was a Game room with Ping Pong, Foose Ball table and X Box games. Fire Place was cozy.

Family hiking weekend

There was 20 people in our group and we had plenty of room for everyone. The house was in a great location and was very clean with everything we needed for the weekend (such as multiple washers/dryers, stocked kitchen, lots of hot water, etc.). I would absolutely recommend renting with Gene, he was great to work with!

Family reunion!

We rented 2 of Gene’s places for a last minute family reunion. Pictures don’t do them justice. They were gorgeous, beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. They were perfect for our family and we can’t wait to be back.

Fantastic Family Birthday Celebration

We very much enjoyed our stay at Grand Meadows Lodge for a large family gathering. So much space inside and out, we never felt too crowded but still had plenty of spots to gather and have fun. Location is wonderful for accessing hikes and Lake Placid. The kitchen was very well equipped and we had everything we needed to cook large family meals. There are lots of activities for the children too in the game room. All around we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this property!

Awesome place for a big group!

The Grand Meadows Lodge is a beautiful property with every amenity you could ask for. The house is very spacious and clean with a ton of bedrooms and comfortable beds. The kitchen is very well stocked, which made cooking for a big group a breeze. It was great to have a gas bbq for grilling, a firepit for hanging out, and the hot tub + sauna were icing on the cake. This property is in a great location; about 25 minutes from Lake Placid and 20 minutes from many hiking trail heads. If you're looking for restaurants close by I recommend the Ice Jamm Inn and Forty Six. Will definitely visit again!

Bisons Hockey Trip

Grand Meadows is a beautiful cabin located no more than 25 minutes from all of the sites Lake Placid has to offer. We stayed here for a hockey tournament at the Olympic Center. Gene and Gala are wonderful hosts, check in was simple, the rentals are loaded with amenities, the scenery is beautiful! The kids loved the playrooms and the hot tubs! They checked in with us regularly to make sure our stay was going well. I can not recommend staying here enough. We will be back! Thank you from the Buffalo Bisons!!

Amazing experience!!

The Grand Meadows Lodge is a beautiful cabin that comfortably fit 15 adults. We had a group of friends and family for a Whiteface / lake placid weekend. The host Gene was amazing, responsive, and we knew if we needed anything we had a local contact as well. Our group loved the sauna, hot tub, and ping pong table. The cabin is extremely homey and comfortable, equipped with games, surround sound speakers, and comfy beds. The cabin was about 10 minutes from the nearest grocery store Tops and about 20 to Lake Placid. Our group had no complaints and everyone wanted to come back and check out Genes other properties as well. I will most definitely be booking this lodge or another of Gene’s properties for my next Lake Placid trip.

Family Ski Week at Lake Placid

Gene and his property were absolutely perfect in so many ways. Location to Whiteface and downtown Lake Placid. Beautiful, clean, comfortable home -- one of the very best we've stayed at thru vacation rentals. Amenities like hot tub, video games, streaming on well sized TVs, firewood upon arrival to get a firing going . . . even a bottle of wine! Comfortable beds, pillows and linens had this picky family sleeping soundly and comfortably. Kitchen well stocked and appointed with all we needed. So wonderful and a perfect winter family getaway. Will definitely be looking to come back . . .summer and/or winter!! Thank you again!

Great stay

Stayed for a family ski and Super Bowl weekend tradition. We have done VT in the past but decided to switch things up this year. What a great call. This house was amazing. The hosts are very responsive and everything was exactly as advertised/expected. We would definitely highly recommend Grand Meadows Lodge and look forward to returning!

Amazing Property

The home was perfect for our ski trip to Whiteface for our group of 4 families. It was large, clean, well-maintained, warm, and located close to the mountain and Lake Placid. The owner Gene was very communicative and responsive. Would definitely stay at this property again and have no hesitations in recommending the property to others.

Beautiful house -fantastic getaway

We can’t say enough positive about our stay here. The house is in fantastic shape and the hosts were lovely and so accommodating to all of our needs. The house is huge, clean, and in every regard surpasses its description on Vrbo. The location was quiet and scenic. We will definitely be back!! Thank you!!!

Beautiful cozy cabin near the mountain

20 of us spent a weekend at this cabin and it was everything we could’ve wanted! There were plenty of things to do at the cabin, boardgames, Xbox, hot tub, etc. the kitchen was great to cook in and there was plenty of space for everyone. Whiteface was a short drive away as well as Lake placid. Our host was very accommodating and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Highly recommend!!

The best!

This was hands down the best rental experience I’ve had. From booking 1 year out, the communication from Gene leading into our stay as well as checking in throughout to make sure everything was perfect, the gorgeous house with attention to every detail, hot tub, sauna, heated floors the list goes on. I visit the Lake Placid area often and will definitely be back to one of Genes properties! Without reservation I highly recommend this property!

Small Family Wedding

My now wife and I wanted a small wedding with very close friends and family. Gene's place was absolutely perfect for this occassion. It was comfortable for all of our guests to eat, sleep, and enjoy our wedding weekend! We brought our own yard games and decorations and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place. Clean, cozy, and very comfortable.
