You are only 7 miles from South Mill Creek Lake which has great trout fishing as well as bass, catfish, crappie and bluegill. If you are a rock climber, you can literally walk to climbing at Reeds Creek and are a few miles from climbing in smoke hole and if you want to climb seneca rocks, you are 40 minutes away. This was our fourth time staying at Pappies Place for a climbing trip to Reed's Creek/Smoke Hole and, as always, it was stellar. It's a well appointed and clean home, the beds are very comfortable and the house couldn't be closer to the Reed's Creek parking lot.

beautiful place to stay for a fall wedding

We came to attend a niece's wedding in Franklin. Our stay at Pappy's Place was just perfect. Lots of room, beautifully decorated, plenty of hot water, easy to find, beds were super comfy. WE loved the big dining room as we had family over for a big breakfast. Just loved the house and the decor.

We loved staying here, as there was plenty of room for all 9 of us. The kids loved going to the front room and having their own space to hang out. It was also a quick drive to Smoke Hole. Our favorite part was using the private river access. We fished there and made a campfire to roast marshmallows. We will definitely be back in the future and highly recommend this property to anyone with a large family.
