"This place was advertised as sleeping 7, but it barely can hold 4. When told about the accommodation was told we are Japanese and this is how it works for us. Well, if you are renting to foreigners study what works for them. Also, the beds had black jumping spiders. The house was located in a dark alley with an abandoned property at its entrance. The place was really cold and the property needs updating. It is really not close to the train station and was difficult to find. Once you find it the...

Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel was close to the station and the shops. It has laundry facilities. Also easy to take the limousine bus to and from the airport."

Dormy Inn Ikebukuro Hot Springs

8/10 Good

"What I love most about Dormy Inn is the layout of the rooms. Separating the sink from the toilet and shower area, and having a door you can close to create a completely private bedroom space is a brilliant design for a business hotel. This location had almost all the services one expects from Dormy Inn. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful, and I also appreciated the complimentary Yonaki Soba noodles and ice pops. The public bath features an open-air bath, and while it is on the smaller side, it was still very relaxing. The only downside was that the main focus of the breakfast was Chinese cuisine, and since I don’t usually eat heavy food in the morning, I decided to skip breakfast this time. Although it is a bit of a walk from the JR and subway stations, it was nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the Ikebukuro downtown area."
