Good choice for stay in Urumuqi

Clean and comfortable room, heat and hot water works well as I visit this hotel during winter, friendly hotel staff help us arrange one-day trip in Tianshan and the second day very early morning hotel pick-up to airport. Breakfast is great with Chinese and Western style cuisine. Hotel locates downtown Urumuqi with a big shopping mall just cross hotel parking lot. Overall I am satisfied with my 3-day staying at this hotel.

The only negative thing about this Hotel is that despite we were accommodated on the Non-smoking Floor, the corridor is often filled with cigarette smoke which also found their way into the room. Very annoying and unhealthy.

Great facilities, not so great location

Loved the room - great facilities, comfortable bed. A nuisance that you couldn’t just walk out of the hotel to take a pleasant stroll. Needed to take a taxi everywhere, and while they are very cheap, it makes it a bit more of an effort to go out. Hardly any English is spoken so Westerners need to make sure they get hotel staff to write down where you wish to go for the taxi driver.

Good Alternative to American Brands

The hotel is very modern and clean. The breakfast buffet was so good I also did the dinner buffet which was equally as good. Y126 for hotel guests. It is walking distance (longish) to the famous provincial museum, but it is closed Mondays, the day I was there. It was a very easy walk to Red Hill aka Red Mountain Park. Pleasant walk to the top and back. Get directions to the North Gate. My only annoyance was that it was very hard to find any staff that spoke any English. There were a few but hard, in most cases not terribly fluent. Owned by Korean Accor hotels. Location is very central, but the location on top of the commercial center was kind of strange. But all the commerce nearby was interesting.

Good but need improvement

Everything is great about the hotel except the tap water. The running water has impurities. They need to clean the water pipes. I thought it happens to the area, but I stayed at other hotel in Urumqi and the water was fine.

Good location. I’d stay elsewhere.

Don’t bother upgrading to a different room. The executive lounge is just a space- no amenities or attendant. I would not stay here again. I was able to find someone who spoke English easily.

Great hotel!

I enjoy this hotel. This is the only hotel where I stay when I travel to Urumqi. Rates are very good compared to the type of hotel it is. Very friendly staff despite the paranoid nature of authorities in Xinjiang towards foreigners. The staff does a very good job of making me feel comfortable.

Good stay!

The hotel is good compared to others in the region however took very long to Check in. Otherwise the hotel staff is very accomodating and helpful. There are also nice restaurants inside the hotel

チェックイン、チェックアウトの際のスタッフの対応がとても親切で、英語も問題なく通じるので、不自由がありませんでした。また、部屋もきれいに清掃されていました。 難を言うと、WIFIが不安定で、通じなくなることがしばしばありました。 また、コンセントがデスクの付近に集中しているので、もう少し他の場所にもあると便利だったと感じました。

快適なホテルでした。

タクシーで空港まで50元くらい。ウルムチの街中はセキュリティーチェックだらけであり、駅の待合室の中に入るのも１時間くらいかかる。ホテルは、禁煙の部屋となったこともあり、総じて快適であり、清掃も行き届いていた。ホテルのビュッフェもおいしかった。ホテルの方も親切であり、タクシーや小額の両替でお世話になった。ホテルの周りには食堂も多く、BRTで隣の駅の労働街にはカルフールがあって、日常品やお土産の購入、物価のチェックにも便利。夜は急に人も少なくなるので出歩くときは注意するにこしたことはないと思った。

房間很乾淨、漂亮、早餐好吃、員工有禮貌， 但有天我在房內休息，已按了房間勿擾鍵， 卻仍有清潔人員按門鈴兩次以上，建議可改由電話通知。

Odd place

This is a strange hotel. It is built atop a "shopping centre", i.e., a five-storey bazaar (which offers, among other things, a great choice of bathroom fixtures!) and has no direct street access. You go down a long traffic ramp and then you end up on a crowded street with nothing in the way of restaurants or shopping. And despite the Grand Mercure label, this is still far from being an international hotel. Some of the staff speak English (almost none speak Uyghur), but turning in some laundry turned into a routine Monty Python could not have dreamed up. The lobby lounge does not exist, nor does the roof garden. And they don't believe in credit or credit cards. They swiped my card for 500 RMB when I checked in. When that ran out, they came and locked up the minibar (which I had no intention of using anyway) and refused to let me charge anything to my room. Cash only from then on. On the plus side, the breakfast was very good and the rooms are large and very pleasant.

大変によく整備されていて気持ちよく過ごせます。空港からも20分程度で来られ、50元で片道の料金です。
