Comfortable, well-equipped gite, peaceful yet ideally located for the town of Uzès and local shops. The pool is fabulous and quite private, and the owners are lovely: very low-profile but available if you need them. Thoroughly recommended!

Wonderful private apartment

This beautiful apartment with a pool was a delight. Our hosts Etienne and Marie were most welcoming but also afforded us complete privacy. The apartment was beautifully designed and decorated and very well equipped. While it is possible to hike into Uzes on a lovely trail, the property is too far from the village itself to casually stroll into town; the 10 minute drive into town was fine. The swimming pool is absolutely wonderful.

Lovely place to base yourself for Provence

We had a week at the apartment and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The only issue was mosquito's, which tool a liking to pale Scottish flesh, but we bought plenty of repellent from the pharmacy which seemed to keep them at bay. The accommodation was lovely though, very comfortable and we appreciated the books and artwork on the walls. As a location, Uzes is ideal for exploring the region. We visited the Carmargue, Arles, Avignon and spent a couple of days just enjoying Uzes itself. Pont du Guard is 5 minutes away by car and amazing to see. Coming back to the pool was delightful as a way to cool of from the hot days. It was up to 39 degrees during the week we were there so a refreshing dip was most welcome. Ettienne and Marie were lovely.

The property was in a fantastic location, close to supermarkets and a boulangerie. Only a short drive into Uzes and Pont Du Gard and giving easy access to other major destinations. We loved the privacy and the quiet of the property and garden. Having a covered carport and secure entry gate was reassuring.The garden and pool area were a delight in the extreme July heat. Having clean linen provided for the second week, was a nice touch. The living room was very comfortable with a large high quality flat screen t.v., allowing us to log into Netflix, Prime etc.Etienne and Marie were the perfect hosts, being close by for anything we needed, but offering us complete privacy. Our only recommendation would be for air conditioning, particularly in the bedroom, as it was uncomfortably hot, even with an overhead fan. A mosquito net on the bathroom window and perhaps bedroom doors, would have helped lower the temperature at night. We had an extremely enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this property for your holiday.

Sehr nette Gastgeber (wohnen im vorderen Teil des Hauses, sind immer erreichbar, wenn man es bräuchte, aber ansonsten ist man für sich) mit einer hübschen schattigen Wohnung im hinteren Teil und einem wunderbaren, sehr gepflegten Pool (der wirklich nur von den Gästen genutzt wird). Auf dem Grundstück ist man völlig ungestört. Es ist alles da, was man braucht...Uzès ist ein bildhübsche Städtchen, die Umgebung auch zum Wandern herrlich...Vielen Dank für einen schönen Aufenthalt!

Wij vonden het een heerlijke plek waar we goed tot rust zijn gekomen. Zwembad was heerlijk, huis was goed en schoon. Wij hebben wel een minpunt: namelijk het keukengerei is erg karig. Slechte, bekraste pannen waarin alles aankoekt. Wij hebben dit opgelost door zelf een nieuwe pan te kopen bij de supermarkt.

Location d excellente qualité. Idéale pour se reposer au calme dans un très très beau jardin muni d'une grande piscine, mais aussi comme point de départ pour visiter la région. De plus, en empruntant de petits sentiers ombragés, on accédé à la très charmante ville d Uzès.

Sehr schöner Urlaub mit großen Fuhrpark

In der sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Ferienwohnung mit Garten und großen Pool hatten wir zwei wunderschöne Urlaubswochen. Unser umfangreicher Fuhrpark (PKW, Anhänger und zwei Motorräder haben auf dem abgeschlossenen Grundstück einen sicheren und überdachten Platz gefunden. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung hat für unsere zwecke völlig genügt. Der Umstand, dass man durch das Bade- und Schlafzimmer gehen muss um zur Toilette zu kommen kann schwierig sein, war für uns aber kein Problem. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen!
