「This is a wonderful house. We stayed for a week. I cooked many full meals and desserts in the kitchen, and it was a better cooking experience than at home! Lots of sitting on the porch, daily driving into Boone which was totally manageable and easy, and fireside football games. We’d love to be back soon.」

「The property was unkempt, very dirty. There were 2 window units for a 3 story 5 bedroom unit which in no way is adequate. The hot tub had not been serviced in a while. There was “ gunk” and debris clinging to the filter. Grill grate was broken, the other had chunks of old food on it. Silverware drawer was full of crumbs ( we assumed that’s is what it was) carpets were filthy. There were several fans in the house, but they were covered in dust. The odor was that of mildew and mold. It was a bad...

「What a great property! Directions were on point. We booked for a girls" trip for four of us and we each had our separate spaces to decompress and be in the moment of this lovely place. Each bedroom was an en-suite, had separate WFH areas if needed also. Very clean and beds were so comfy ! Decor was beautiful. Easy drives to Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Communication with the host was great. Looking to book again here !」

「We truly enjoyed staying at Alex’s little treehouse in the mountains. We are a small family of humans and furry babies and it suited us perfectly. It was an easy drive to both the city (Boone) or the ski slopes (Sugar Mountain) - they are both within 15m driving, albeit in opposite directions. The cabin is well stocked and has been updated, so don’t let the rustic or cabin decor fool you. The kitchen has granite countertops and all of the pots, pans, dishes, and utensils you need to prepare your...

「The house was in a great location and was clean and ready. The only issue was no hot water when we arrived. Once we reached the owner he apologized and stepped us through a work around. The issue persisted and the work around had to be taken for every shower and sometimes in the middle of a shower. This is just a huge inconvenience when you pay for a premium vacation rental.」

「Renting from this host has been a 100 percent positive experience for me! The home fit all our needs, as well as being quiet and well outfitted, the hot tub was a plus on many evenings. This was my first long term rental and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was managed by our host. He was quick to respond to questions, moved quickly on a small repair that was necessary, and generally made us feel welcome. Would definitely rent again! Barbara」
