"Pool was closed, poor timing on that since it was the middle of summer. Parking by the hotel was ample however they have the handycap walkway blocked with a long gate that forces one to walking much farther then necessary to get to the hotel entrance. Otherwise this is a very nice place with great rooms, service and amenities."

"I discovered this hotel while browsing Hotel.com, and I’m really glad I did. The property is brand‑new, having opened in June, and it shows — everything feels modern, fresh, and exceptionally clean. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely understanding of the challenges many Lake County residents were facing with the recent storm and widespread power outages. My room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and the bed in particular was fantastic — easily one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in recently. I do wish the room had included a microwave, but that was a small inconvenience in an otherwise great stay. The complimentary breakfast was a standout, offering a wide variety of food and drink options that made the morning easy and enjoyable. The only drawback for me was the price; at $187, the rate felt a bit high. Still, the overall experience, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff made the stay worthwhile."

"The breakfast was great and we enjoyed the lake view. Didn’t get a chance to do much else because of the storm and the loss of electricity. That was the only reason we left early. We would definitely stay there again."

"We had a comfortable stay at the Furness Mansion. Very close to Indiana Dunes National Park and also nearby points of interest. The unit is spacious with free use of washer & dryer located at the entrance of the building. The only thing negative is the response time from the hosts. I sent a couple of messages and never received a response. My inquiries were not critical but a simple response would have been nice as a courtesy."

"Good value for this hotel. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast included scrambled eggs and sausage as well as waffles and cold items. Not too far of I-94 so it was much less expensive to stay in Michigan City than closer to Chicago."
