「Upon our arrival we were upgraded to a suite and it was excellent. the front desk staff were super accommodating and always seemed to be working, no matter the hours. The rooms are spacious and super clean. We rented a car and there was underground parking. We love walking and could easily walk to the old town ( about 20 minutes) and eat and shop. However, there was also an amazing bakery about one block ( around the corner)from our hotel where we picked up breakfast and sandwiches for the day....

「The owner is amazing. My phone had died so I didn't directions to get to the hotel. I found a shop owner that called her and she walked 10 minutes to where I was and walked me back. Each room is individualize and mine had a private entrance. There were lots of personal touches that made the place feel special. I can't recommend this hotel more. If I am ever back in Chania I will stay here again.」

「The staff were all very friendly and plenty of them speak English. The condition of the room was fanatic! Even though the building is very old, since it’s located in the center of “Old Town Chania”, inside you’d swear you’re in a newly built luxury hotel. Very centrally located for walking everywhere!」

「Das Preis-leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen. Wer eine günstige Unterkunft, nur zum übernachten sucht wird es in Ordnung finden. Die Reinigungskraft hat täglich die Räumlichkeiten gereinigt und das Bett gemacht, das war positiv. Leider ist die Unterkunft 45-50 Minuten fußläufig vom Strand entfernt. Auch ins Stadtzentrum und zum venezianischen Hafen läuft man mindestens 40 Minuten. Die Bushaltestelle ist in der Nähe, man muss aber gut auf die Abfahrtzeiten achten. 」

「We stayed at Portou House for 5 nights and had an excellent time. Very good location in Chania Old Town. Communication was great from start to finish with Julia being very responsive. We were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine for my Partner’s birthday which was a nice touch. 「Very clean hotel, daily room cleaning. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Magnificent flower garden very well maintained. Very nice pool area. The last day we had to leave very early in the morning for our return to the airport, and the manager prepared the breakfast buffet for us at 6:30 am instead of normally 8:00 am.
