Cozy, comfy base camp

I only stayed here for one night while attending a wedding on the island, and I wish I had been there longer! The bed situation was actually better than I thought from the listing - it would be no problem to fit 3 couples in that place.

Such a wonderful retreat!

Enchanted cottage was everything that I expected, and more. Everything that you need for a pleasant vacation is there. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and in such a peaceful setting. I hope to come back to Vashon Island, and stay here again.

Best place to stay

First off, this place is cute as a button. Really cool triangular windows and overall interesting design not seen elsewhere. A brief rain in the morning was actually really nice on the metal roof. Well stocked and cozy, had everything needed. The local deer visited every day. I would definitely recommend, or stay again myself!

Highly Recommend!!

My family and I had a great stay and would love to come back! It was quiet, calm and cozy. This home has everything you need. We planned a weekend to stay in and this location was the perfect place to do so. Beautiful property and a wonderful tree with swing out back. Highchair available which was so convenient, also a great selection of toys and kids books. We happily recommend and hope to come back!

Cozy spot

Lovely location but all of Vashon Island is lovely! Good wifi, quick hot water, super comfortable beds. Lots of bed options but would be crowded with more than four people. No child gate at the top of the spiral stairs (there's a crib in the upper bedroom) so bring one if needed.

Perfect cozy spot!

We stayed here with 2 adults and 2 kids (2 and 5) and it was a cozy, perfect spot for a rainy weekend! Past reviews mentioned poor internet, no shower, or scratchy sheets, but all of those issues seem to have been addressed because the sheets were comfy, there was a good shower, and great internet connection. The spiral staircase is fun and novel, but a little nerve-racking with my clumsy young kids... I wish there was a baby gate at the top! The kitchen is tiny, but very well appointed, with oil, spices, coffee, some tea, sugar, and a few other necessities. My kids loved the toys and books, and the loft room with cozy bed! It is so close to KVI beach and we went to explore many times during our stay and were lucky enough to see 4 otters! The only real issue was that the washing machine was labeled "out of order" when we arrived, which we hadn't known and had been counting on being able to use.

Beautiful, Cozy and Clean!

We stayed for two nights for a family wedding, and we all really enjoyed this home! It is beautifully and whymsically decorated, was perfectly clean, very cozy and comfortable, and had all the ammenities we needed for the four of us. The kids did go up and down the spiral staircase more than I anticipated, but no one got hurt. And there is a gate at the bottom of the staircase to block it off, for a break. There was a 4 cup coffee maker, but only instant coffee. So bring your own bag of coffee for brewing if you want some. Otherwise, there are wonderful coffee shops and restaurants just 6 minutes away. We enjoyed everything we had at The Hardware Store (a restaurant), Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie, and Casa Bonita. They had fun toys for the kids to play with, some kid dishes and silverware, the mini split heat pump was wonderful for cooling and heating the space when we needed it, and the bathroom was stocked with towels and wash clothes for all of us. The queen bed had a mattress that felt more like a futon mattress, but we slept fine after our extra busy days. Thank you to the hosts for creating such a special little space to enjoy a visit on the island!

Comfortable stay while visiting local family

Great location and perfect amount of space for us while we visited family who live on island. Only thing of note would be that many windows lacked covering which made it hard for us east coasters to sleep. We solved for this with eye masks.

Great tiny house

Family of 5, fun property, easy walk to the beach. The tree swing was hit, and the fire pit was great. Tastefully decorated, clean and easily fit two kiddos upstairs. The pull out couch is a high quality foam mattress and our 14yo thought it was great. Perfect for a Vashon vacation.

Truly enchanting
