Here, you won’t be staying in an anonymous holiday complex, but right among the locals, where you can enjoy the laid-back lifestyle of a small village. At the same time, you’ll find everything you need for a pleasant stay right nearby: a supermarket, a bakery, and a general store are all about a 5-minute walk away. Velgast is ideally located for exploring the beautiful Baltic Sea coast and the region around Fischland-Darß-Zingst. Stralsund is about a 15-minute drive away. Barth and Ribnitz-Damgarten are also within easy reach and are perfect for lovely day trips. Barth is a small, cosy port town with a maritime charm. Here you can take a stroll along the waterfront, stop at lovely restaurants, and, of course, enjoy a delicious fish sandwich. The stunning beaches and unique natural scenery of Fischland-Darß-Zingst are also easily accessible from Velgast.
