An amazing comfortable apartment, but very unpolite property manager
The apartment is amazing: elegant, cosy, very clean, spacious, close to all attractions and 2 vaporetto stations with great attention to every detail for a very comfortable and save accommodation. The combination of the old and new furniture and amenities is made in a very tasteful manner and it makes you feel the venetian specifics, enjoying in the same time the modern facilities. The apartment has 2 double bedrooms, one with a canal view (a little noisy due to the boats passing, but very venetian and one with a interior court view, very comfortable and quiet). The outside shadows and air conditioning (in living room and hallway) assure during summer the cool atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the terms and conditions on this site are quite inaccurate. The property (in fact the agency who is manging the property, not the host) asked us, in the most unpolite, even violent manner a tax of 65 euro for late check in, as we arrived after 08.00pm. They never announced the web site or in the further e-mail communication a such a tax, even when we specified that, it is possible to be few minutes late after this cut off hour, due to the long transfer from airport to the property (more than 2 hours from Treviso). When we came with all evidence for an unannounced fee, he agency's guy yelled at us, used a very inadequate language and advised his representative to throw us off the apartment although the time was almost 10.30 pm, after 2 hours of fight. The representative, a very professional girl, Alicia, was reasonable and professional, and finally left as to enjoy our holiday, after a very abrupt beginning in Venice.
Also, the check out time is 10.00 a.m. and not 11.00 a.m as announced on the vrbo.com site.
