Bahia Vista
Inside of condo clean & well kept up. Disposal issue was remedied quickly. Washed delicate darks in washing machine - came out covered with sand & grit. Management said it was not part of the items they regularly check. Had to go spend an afternoon at laundromat.We were not informed about the amount of damage to all of Bahia Vista. We were told about the pool not being usable. Path to the beautiful beach was also blocked off - had to go through the parking structure, construction equipment all over the place & up steps to be able to "see" the beach. Our unit was #B111 which implied ground level - we had three flights of 6 to 8 stairs each (with black metal railings hot enough to burn your hands) to get to our unit. By 7:30 a.m. the deconstruction and construction crews were hard at work so we woke up to metal saws, constant pounding, etc so outside deck not usable. All of the units & stairs were being worked on daily. We contacted management & were reminded via an email containing a partial quote from the disclaimer that there May be some construction going on & that if we were injured in any way because of this that it was our problem, not theirs. So, when I fell getting out of our vehicle due to excessive sand on concrete in the parking area, we had no recourse except to purchase ice packs & pain relievers. I did tell management we didn't need to be reminded of their excessive disclaimer which said, No matter what happens, we are not responsible.
