the hotel is in a beautiful old palace. The owner of the hotel was extremely helpful and extremely nice. The room was spacious and very comfortable.

All our expectations were exceeded in Hotel Orazio. The building itself is historic and has been carefully restored; the breakfast room alone is worth the visit, and the breakfast was generout. Staff were warm and welcoming and happy to share the rich history of the place with us. Our room was great, opening on to a loggia. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Dai Cavalieri di Malta ai nostri giorni

Struttura antica (risale intorno al 1400) fu sede dell’ordine dei Cavalieri di Malta fino ai primi dell’800. Ricca di affreschi originali (epoca ‘700) in perfetto stato, si trova nel pieno centro di Venosa, oltre alla ricchezza storica del palazzo, i complimenti si estendono ai proprietari che conducono questa struttura in modo famigliare facendoti sentire un vero ospite.. a proposito la colazione ricca di dolci e marmellate (come una volta) della casa.. Lo consiglio vivamente!

Piacevole

Nonostante avessimo prenotato tramite Hotels.com e fossimo in possesso di regolare conferma di prenotazione, a causa di un disguido non c'era una camera disponibile, o almeno non della tipologia da noi scelta. I titolari comunque si sono subito impegnati per trovare lo stesso una soluzione, e alla fine ci hanno sistemato in una altra camera, sia pure di una tipologia inferiore. La mattina dopo ci hanno rimborsato la differenza. L'albergo in generale e gli arredi in particolare appaiono, almeno per noi, un pò datati. Da segnalare comunque pulizia in camera, disponibilità e cortesia dei titolari e del personale, posizione ottima per visitare Venosa. Buona anche la colazione. E poi nel nostro caso desideriamo sottolineare la correttezza, non scontata, di rimborsarci la differenza dovuta alla camera di tipologia diversa da quella prenotata e pagata. Nel complesso un buon soggiorno.

esperinza unika rotorno al passato.-

un viaggio nel passato un borgo che lascia la firma , stessa cosa l aproprietaria del Hotel Orazio accogliente permurosa gentile perparata , un hotel che vale ogni secondo tarscorso all'inetrno pura storia del XIV sec. camere spaziose bagni Nuovi . hotel posro al centro di tutto , due passi dal castello, dalla casa do orazio e dal parco archeologico Consigliatissimo

Stunning old building with loads of history in a beautiful historic town. We were very lucky that when we arrived a nephew of the owners was there rot help us as no one else spoke any English and we needed assistance with finding parking. Good breakfast and lovely modern bathroom but we couldn’t get the air con to work and the language barriers were an issue at times.

Una sosta molto apprezzata

Hotel localizzato nel centro storico di Venosa ad un centinaio di metri dal Castello. In uno storico palazzo di cui si apprezzano le sale affrescate e restaurate con cura. Grande cortesia del gestore/proprietaria che ci ha anche dato informazioni storiche sul palazzo stesso e della sua funzione nei secoli.

The property was able to maintain its old feels. We were in the room with a terrace overlooking the hills which was really lovely. The room was basic but the bathroom was modern and the shower was lovely.It would have been nicer if there was a coffee or tea facility inside the room. There are not a lot of options for breakfast. The excellent thing is everyone in the hotel were amazingly nice. They were all very accomodating. Superb stay.

Venosa da scoprire

Esperienza nel complesso positiva, l'hotel è 'datato' ma complessivamente ben tenuto (l'ascensore/montacarichi fa un po' di bizze), molto curata la pulizia, ben posizionato nel centro di Venosa, personale gentile e disponibile, pregevoli volte affrescate la cui 'vista' va richiesta alla reception, colazione buona.
