「Acerenza is een meer dan 2000 jaar oud stadje gelegen op een bergtop van meer dan 800 m hoog met in het centrum een Romaanse kathedraal. Het huis ligt in één van de smalle stegen dichtbij een parkeerplaats van dit stadje. Het pand is oeroud, maar totaal gerenoveerd. 「Did not even come close to our expectations. We checked in just to have somewhere to catch our breath and look for alternative accommodation. Left without talking to the host as we didn't want to waste any more time there. It was a converted garage and the so called courtyard was non excistent as your car needed to be parked in what was in fact the driweway.」

「Hotel Venusia is a beautiful hotel in the rather remote town of Venosa. We were there for two nights at the end of October, which was clearly off season. Our hotel room was large and clean, with a nice balcony. The downside was the bed was very hard, and the bathroom, particularly the shower, very small.
