Room was nice, very spacious. The reception staff weren’t the best, maybe it’s just certain people but they had the vibes of “didn’t want to be there.” Besides that, the cleaning staff as well as who I talked to by the buffet breakfast service were wonderful! Overall great place, close to a great strip of food and drinks and movie theater.

The front desk staff were very helpful in giving directions to restaurants and a nice walk along the beach. The food for breakfast was fresh, had a nice variety, and was attractively served. I was accommodated for an allergy free room. The room was spacious and even though the train ran close-by I did not hear it. I plan to return the next time I am in Ventura.

This is a great location as you can walk all around downtown Ventura for touring and meals. The room is large and comfortable. The breakfast was really great. We did not turn on the TV once for our six-year-old grandson!

What an unexpected gem! Comfortable bed, comfortable pillows, clean room. Great location! Easy walking distances to get to the beach, botanical gardens, San Buenavista Mission, and all of downtown. There's a nice park with playgrounds for kids across the street. Free parking! Free breakfast! Eggs, sausage, bacon, chilaquiles, breakfast burritos, fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereal. Free happy hour with wine, beer, soda, chips, pizza, and wings! It is next to train tracks and the 101. We had a balcony room facing the beach. I am a light sleeper, but did not have an issue with the sound. The ac going drowned it out enough. Now, out on the balcony, especially with the window open, it is very loud! But windows closed, balcony door closed, I had no issue with the sounds. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again if I'm ever in the area.

Overall, it was a good place to stay; everything was close and at walking distance. Took one star off because the room had like a musty smell, like it hadn’t been used in a while, or maybe the last guest smoked in there, even though it was a nonsmoker room. We opened the windows and that’s seemed to help. On the other hand, staff was great, place was clean.

The hotel is small but very clean. The staff was very nice and accommodating! The rooms were super clean and a short walk to the beach. I loved their breakfast, it was bomb! And the cook was super nice and attentive, they can make burritos for you. They even have complimentary snacks! The only negative thing was that the walls are a little thin you can hear people talking or the TV on but all the guests that day were respectful and everyone was sleeping or quiet by 10pm. They also have a jacuzzi and a fire pit!! This hotel is better than the Best Western next door, which looked quite dirty.

For the price, this place was not worth it at all. Yes, it has convenient access to the beach and nearby stores, but the room itself was very disappointing—there were stains on the sheets, curtains, and towels, which made it feel unclean. Breakfast was actually good, and the staff in that area were great—very kind and welcoming. However, the front desk staff during check-in were the opposite—short, distant, and not welcoming at all. When I asked for help connecting to the TV, I didn’t get a clear answer—just “use whatever is on the TV or connect an HDMI cable,” which wasn’t helpful. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. Honestly, the Motel 6 up the street is in better condition for a fraction of the price.
