Beautiful location, house right on the beach, large sliding doors both floors. Ping pong, pool table and a rooftop spa…this house had it all including boogie boards, kayaks and bikes. Lots of parking, comfortable furniture, big table, great kitchen. Very relaxing stay

Comfortable space with fantastic sunsets. Well appointed with activities for everyone. Close to Ventura & Santa Barbara if you’re looking for an outing but it’s easy to decide just to stay in.

Beautiful house in amazing location. House was fully stocked with everything we needed for a great vacation. There was so much to do with beach, pool table, ping pong table and games. Proximity to Santa Barbara and Montecito was excellent. Highly recommend this property.

This home was amazing. It had everything you needed for a perfect beach vacation. Loved having the pool table to play with family. Also, it was equipped well for beach play. My family had an wonderful time. I can’t say enough about how beautiful the home. We had the front open the entire time. Also, having access to a gas grill for cooking was great.

Amazing views!

This home has amazing views from upstairs and downstairs. Grandsons also loved the rooftop spa. The location can’t be beat. Most days we had the beach to ourselves. There is construction going on next door, so it can get noisy at times. We had issues with the main fireplace and the local team never came to fix it. This was disappointing because it was the one fireplace we really wanted to use.

This fantastic property is all it is advertised as and more! You cannot beat the location, and it is spacious and luxurious- the owners have thought of everything. We saw dolphin and seals and incredible sunsets every day. Having plenty of bathrooms and a large common space was also so valuable. The ping pong table and pool table were giant hits in the evening along with the hot tub. We have stayed at Mussel Shoals every year for the last fifteen years, and this is the best so far. Thank you!

My favorite getaway

I loved everything about this home. It was beautiful. Especially enjoyed opening the front of the home letting the sounds of the ocean coming inside. The home is so well stocked with everything. Actually was able to see sea lions and herd of dolphins. Loved being able to play pool with my grandson.

We loved so very much hearing the ocean every morning and every evening falling asleep to it. Feeling the warm sunshine as we opened the sliding doors while cooking breakfast, lunch , and dinner was definitely a perk! We saw a dolphins 500 yards out, and glimpsed a whale spouting and sharing his tale as he submerged. Our son Ben who is primarily non verbal said “Ocean” articulated with clarity , and a matter of factness. There are no words. It was SO HARD to go home .

Luxury and the Beach

Doors open to the sand - and beautiful views encompass the property. The house itself is gorgeous and the primary suite is fantastic. Minimal necessities like TP, paper towels and garbage bags for such a luxury stay. Well furnished kitchen Washing machine was supposedly broken when we arrived - we were told someone was coming to fix but never heard anymore. Communication with Vacasa not simple Blender broken on arrival Wipes at door to clean tar dried out and only had one left. No washcloths in one bathroom Seems like details were just lacking

Perfect location

We had never heard of Mussel Shoals before, and frankly it was the home that attracted us to this location, during Covid 2020, we were trying to find a quiet place on the ocean. We found it! - this place did not disappoint and exceeded our expectation. The home is very special, first location and setup, backing on to the home is the Pacific Ocean there are gorgeous sunset views. Taking your morning coffee and walking onto what is typically the beach to yourself was a treat. The windows both upstairs and downstairs fully open to permit the cool ocean breeze. I used both the kayak and a bike to get exercise which was awesome. Our first morning, just waking up I opened my eyes and watched a pod of dolphins swim past the home! When's the last time that happened! We had some maintenance issues, couldn't turn upstairs heater down, or hot-tub heater up and as someone mentioned the expresso machine was still out of order, so the owner might be interested to watch and ensure these things are addressed. I have a VRBO vacation home on Kauai, and I'm starting to think it's time to trade up to Mussel Shoals ;) Thank-you and we're already looking for the opportunity to return within a year. Ps: If you take the kayak out start a couple homes to the right of the house...away from the rocks...just saying.
