We were unable to access the property with the instructions provided by the Host. When we contacted the Host, she was unfamiliar with which property we had rented, adding that she "managed over 100 properties". (I was surprised that she didn't associate my name with her rental record to know which property). She seemed bothered by the call and trivialized our inability to access the property. Her next response was "well, are the batteries dead? I followed that "I didn't know, I am renting a property and didn't anticipate not being able to access it". She said she would get someone to repair as soon as she could. I asked for the timing on that, and she responded that she didn't know. We gained access through a lock box and it was repaired that day, however, Corrie's response was unprofessional. She was disconnected with the property. Furthermore, it was apparent that the property was not maintained nor ready for guests. A pair of women's underwear was found on the floor by the bed and and wedding band on the nightstand in a bedroom. Light fixtures did not work, light bulbs were missing, the grill was filled with leaves. Windows have no screens so they cannot be opened for fresh air- an important benefit for a lake house. One bedroom's access is through another bedroom. A shower and toilet, in a utility room is the only bath for two bedrooms and the whole downstairs. Great views but I'd pass on this property until it is repaired, maintained and has a new Host.
