The valley is wild and colorful with steep mountain slopes and waterfalls that fall hundreds of meters to the bottom of the valley. There are famous sights in this province such as the spectacular road Trollstigen, Trollveggen, the highest vertical rock face in Europe, and the mountain Romsdalshornet (1,550 m above sea level). The house owner rents two additional boats, which must be ordered well in advance of arrival.
