"I had a pleasant stay for four nights in Owl's Nest. I was up in the area to ski at Wisp. The "back way" to and from the resort made the drive only about 10 minutes or so. The cabin is stocked with everything that one could possibly need. The hot tub was great!"

"The rooms were very clean, but restraunt/lounge was closed due to no staff and that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel because there is nothing close to go eat and have a drink, so we chose this hotel BUT it was not open and no where on the web site it said it was closed, and was not told this when they called to confirm my resorvations, didnt find out until we got there so that was a dissapointment, the tv screeen was messed up, very very small. I would stay again IF the restaruant is open. the views are beautiful. rooms clean,but call ahead next time. some of the games in the game room were also broken. "

"The room was clean and the king bed was quite comfortable. The heater was a bit loud but very effective, and the heated air fan in the bath was a nice touch; plenty of hot water, too. The microwave oven was small but worked well, and the mini-fridge was bigger than many we've seen. The staff were friendly and helpful, and cheerfully accomodated our late arrival. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. It was great being able to hear the waterfall from the house (mother nature helped the volume with the water flow). The low light pollution and seclusion also allowed us to see many more stars than normal. "

"Our stay was wonderful! We didn't have the best weather (cold and rainy), but that didn't stop us from having a fabulous time! The house was spacious, cozy, well-kept and perfect for 6 kids and 6 adults. The outdoor fireplace and hot tub were very nice too! The home was well stocked with blankets, pillows, towels and all the basic amenities we needed. The kids really enjoyed the garage and the kid room for their double-night sleepover! Thanks again for your flexibility and accommodations! "

"Dallas and Carmen were terrific hosts. The house is super clean and has all the comforts of home, and then some! We have stayed in many houses for get away weekends and The Rissers supplied us with a gem and were the best, most attentive hosts we’ve ever experienced. 5 stars for sure!!"
