Fabulous hotel in a great location.

Fabulous hotel on the lake. Excellent location. Easy transport links to Montreux. Only grumble was a poorly fitted shower head which made showering a bit of a challenge. A small point in what was otherwise the perfect stay.

I absolutely loved this place, so much so I extended my stay not once but twice! I would have been happy to never leave. The location is fantastic. The only downside was the totally unnecessary Buddha bar type disco and MC in the outside patio restaurant, which was so out of keeping with the sublime surroundings. I used to go to the original Buddha bar in Paris 30 years ago, but I do not want this in a beautiful sleepy lakeside hotel while on holiday. I also felt for the people whose rooms were on the front with the noise every night. Whoever brainchild those did not understand the hotels unique charm. I would leave the property in the evenings, take a walk and eat elsewhere else to avoid it. Thankfully my room was in the back.

Service was outstanding from check in by Reception to excellent standards one looks for in an high end hotel as graciously hosted by a Miss Romy who welcomed us so enthusiastically and helped by personally giving a tour of hotel being first time at hotel to housekeeping seeing to it that ee had all comforts to excellent waiter at Brasserie La Veranda who knew his food by his assistance in outstanding recommendations…food superb - to gorgeous and charming hotel - first rate …shall happily spread the word to home in U.S. on this beautiful 5 star hotel…
