Aardig huis met centrale ligging in de Dordogne

Het huisje is oud, en oogt beneden wat bedompt doordat het geen ramen heeft, alleen het glas in 2 deuren. Boven is het lichter en ruimer. De uitrusting is ook gebruikt maar toereikend ( goede koelkast en wasmachine), watervoorziening is prima (goede douche!). Het huisje heeft veel privacy met een ommuurd erfje met mooi uitzicht, maar het doordoor ontbreken van gordijnen op de overloop en in de badcel voelt toch niet prettig. De beheerder was vriendelijk, maar de verstrekte informatie was vrij beperkt. Gezien de locatie is een auto eigenlijk onontbeerlijk, het is wel een goede uitvalsbasis om dit deel van de Dordogne te verkennen. Wij vonden de prijs achteraf (te) hoog voor het gebodene.

Point de départ agréable pour visitier le Périgord Noir

Location très proche de nombreux sites à découvrir et départ de nombreux sentiers de randonnées à proximité, avec une terrasse avec une vue imprenable. Le gite mérite d'être un peu plus étoffé en équipements (vaisselle, rangements). Il est spacieux et confortable.

A great location, once it was found!

This house was in a wonderful location for exploring the Dordogne area, close to beautiful towns eg Sarlat, Domme, and with its own lovely views over the surrounding countryside. It was delightfully quiet and the terrace was ideal for a late afternoon drink. The owner was very welcoming. The house loses a star rating because a) the house was difficult to find, especially for non- French speakers b) prior to our stay, replies from the owner were not always prompt c) compared to other houses we have stayed in, the lack of basic necessities eg soap, toilet paper, garbage bags, wood for the BBQ and fire etc was noticeable. We needed to supply everything.

Lovely country home, ideal location

This was a beautiful home in a PERFECT location - just minutes away from Beynac, La Roque-Gageac, Domme, and other stunning towns along the Dordogne river. The region is beautiful, as is the view from the terrace and upstairs windows. The owners were friendly and pleasant, though we had a little trouble contacting them/getting a reply to our emails before arriving. It was rather cold in the house, as the weather was unseasonably cold and the radiators were not on. Regardless, we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the place.
