Started badly as not met at airport. We didn’t seem to be expected on arrival. Given one of the newer lodges. Had to ask for air con to be fixed. Door lock difficult to operate. Had to ask for tea and coffee facilities. Shower freezing cold and flooded room. Had to pay taxi driver for airport drop off when transfers were included. I had stayed at this lodge last year and the annoying issues still remain. I had tried to make contact with the property in advance of the trip regarding booking excursions. They were unresponsive. These lodges could offer so much more if they were better managed and more customer focused. Even though I booked these lodges last year they have not made any progress. It would not be difficult to implement significant improvements for customer satisfaction. During our stay only one other person occupied the lodges so I guess this speaks volumes. It’s a shame because most issues were easy to resolve. Has to be put down to poor management and training.

The manager Sam was absolutely brilliant and went out of her way to make our stay an enjoyable one. The rooms were clean and functional but there wasn’t a fridge for drinks or for food. The air conditioner did NOT work and the mosquitos were everywhere. My bed was really hard to sleep on which was uncomfortable.

This was a very interesting resort! Unfortunately, we arrived, and there was no one to greet us, except the security guard, who gave us a nice tour around the property, including rooms that were obviously occupied by other guests… Our room was nice, but the facilities could certainly use some work. For example, there was no toilet paper holder, and there was about 1/25 of a roll of toilet paper just sitting on the back of the toilet tank. The shower curtain didn’t reach the floor on the shower stall so when you took a shower, the entire bathroom floor was flooded, however, they left a mop in the corner so you could mop the floor up. We thought we had a room with air conditioning, but it turns out we did not, and it was uncomfortably warm. Our host, Mercy, was absolutely wonderful and made up for all the other issues. Breakfast was great, made to order and continental. Transferred to the airport was extremely quick and well organized. The grounds were really interesting! The views were spectacular! Beds were comfortable, however we had flannel sheets on our bed in 38 degree weather!! It was reasonably priced, and was very quiet and private.
