Absolutely beautiful hotel, with amazing service. The site is under construction and the restaurant was out of commission, but next time I expect it will be perfect.
Unbelievably good - staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, the room was spotless, the decor was lovely, the food was so good at both Janevca and the next morning breakfast buffet, and the little touches were SO awesome (coffee service, mini desserts, hand-written card, turn down service, etc.)!!

Beautiful room. Very friendly staff Excellent restaurant
Outstanding, this is such a gem of a hotel. I will 100% be staying here on my next trip to Victoria, The food was amazing, the decor outstanding and I never wanted to leave my room it was so fabulous - you can tell so much thought and care was put into every design decision. The sheets were the softest I'd ever slept on. It was the coziest most fabulous place I'd ever stayed, 10/10 for everything!
the property overall ws a delight to stay at. at the amenities, restaurant and lounge were contemporary and wonderfully welcoming.Staff was very professional and courteous. I would certainly stay again and refer others to stay at your property also.

Welcome was very friendly and informative. Every aspect of the facility and rooms were impeccable. Service was excellent. Loved the cherry blossom ceiling in the spa and the inclusion of backlight stone wal. Food was good. The only thing that would have been nice was eggs be nyfor breakfast. Hardly a big complaint!
The entire staff was so professional and yet friendly. Every effort was made to make sure our stay was comfortable. The room was comfortable and well appointed. Clean. Loved the coffee station in the hall!! The dining room was perfection, including the servers. We will be back.
We had the Newbury room and it was very comfortable and spacious. Very tasteful and thoughtfully designed. The grounds are lovely. The bidet toilets were next level! The location is in a quiet residential neighbourhood - about 10 min walk to the ocean.
About 10-15 mins by car to downtown Victoria. The restaurant is super busy every night (!) so didn’t manage to try it, so make sure you book in advance. Lovely boutique hotel!
This iconic property is tucked away in a nice quiet neighborhood - but the attention to details amazing service and impressive comfort isn't tucked away. It is everywhere. We'll be back!
Don’t let the construction hold you back. An absolutely wonderful property and staff. Newly renovated. No detail missed. The quality is some of the best I’ve seen. No need to look for a dining place. They have covered too. I highly recommend.

We are badly conflicted about this hotel. It is truly a 5 star luxury hotel with incredible finishes and service. The restaurant is also terrific as are the staff. So what is our problem? Samuel McClure must be rolling over in his grave at the mis matched furniture and decorations , the multitude of odd garden statues placed aimlessly everywhere , and the requirement that you must go outside and get wet after dinner to get back to your room.
Please just reduce and simplify the furnishings in this wonderful old house and even William Morris ( “Have nothing in your home that you know is not either useful or beautiful “ would approve.
Thanks for your kind consideration.
