Giving this a four star for Excellent customer service from staff. Area is close to all amenities as you can easily walk or take local ride. Common area of this hostel is neat and tidy. You can take out food and enjoy it. No trash lying around. During my stay some guest are very noisy (slamming doors as they come in and out) disturbing neighbours who are still sleeping. Room needs a good cleaning and proper bedding to attract more people. Other than that, this hostel is still reasonable for the price you pay.

Overall it was a nice stay. My comment was no fridge in the room but you can ask the receptionist if you can have your food placed in their fridge. It was a quiet place. Very close to Calle crisologo, close to everything!!! Staff were nice and friendly. Ahm. The towels were non absorbent and the water in the bathroom sink smells like rust, but the one in the shower was not. But all of which can be manageable.,it’s not like it’s bad.

I think the property is newer compared to others in the area particularly those near tourist area, i.e. Calle Crisologo. Bathroom is not that clean - mirror is very old and has black marks, ceiling has some molds, and glass window is dirty and without curtain. A proper cleaning and updated mirror would have made the room looks much better. Beds are old and you can feel the spring. And forget about the pillows and blanket - better to bring your own. Got the room for just under PHP 6K - 3 nights for 6 persons (4 adults and 2 kids). I think it is a good deal. I get what I paid for so it's not too bad, I think.

Unpleasant smell of towels & bed stuff

I rented a family and queen size/double bed rooms . The family was ok, but the towels smelled unpleasant to be used and the bed stuff in the double bed room was Not changed, it smelled like someone slept there for 2 days and wasn’t changed. I went to the receptionist to ask for a new bed cover and pillow cases so I can change them as I cannot lay down on that unclean bed. I changed them myself. The door in room 17 waa just a kid’s kick away from opening even when it’s locked aa it has a huge gap between the door and the door frame.
That white mark is the distance between the door frame and the door , what strength does the lock have if it’s just cms into the lock hole?

Over all, it’s a five star especially for the price. Only thing was the puddle. Hard to get out of the parking but, not a deal breaker. Friendly and informative staff. Everything was functional and hot water ready was a plus. Truly a happy stay
