Our family had an amazing time in the Mermaid Cottage. It is exactly as it is listed. Very comfortable and clean. The included linens and towels made the ease of the stay absolutely fantastic. The easy beach access and daily sunsets are priceless. The bikes were a great bonus to ride for bagels in the morning or just for a quick roll through the streets. One thing to be aware of is that (at least in late May) the bay water is filled with jelly fish. Our young daughter got stung each time she got in the water, so we just stopped going in the water. But there's plenty of sandcastle building fun and shell/rock hunting to be done on the beach as well.
Many other Cape May attractions like the lighthouse, Cape May city, the state park, wineries are 6 miles or less away. The cottage also has really easy access to plenty of restaurants. We tried Jake's, Castaways and the local deli with the "#1 potato salad" as well as Bravado bagels. Of those, Jake's was our favorite, but there's lots of options -- lots of ice cream shops within walking distance too.
Overall, Kimberly is a wonderful host and we WILL DEFINITELY book at this location again. It was hard to leave and we can't wait to come back!
