「Accurately advertised. You can literally see a mile castle on Hadrian’s Wall from your room. Beautiful country views. A problem with our heat was addressed immediately. Excellent dinner choices and service in the cozy pub. 」

The real positives were the staff, genuinely lovely and welcoming – along with excellent food and a great selection of local beers on tap. 「Lovely hotel right in the center of town. Staff were great. Room was quite large. Dinner was very good, but a little pricey. I arrived early and they let me nab a parking spot under the building. Be aware, parking space is tight (speaking as someone living in the US). Bed, bathroom, and general room decor/ambience were of a good quality. Bar / restaurant was popular. And..: I got a good nights sleep.」

「Set in gorgeous surroundings, the field barn has everything you need for a rural retreat.
