Our experience

The house is in a beautiful location. It’s well equipped and well laid out for different generations to co-mingle. The owners are easy to deal with and they will go into great pains to make your stay comfortable and deal with any issues or requests.

Fantastic Villa on Mahoe Bay!

My husband and I just returned from a glorious stay at Adagio Villa! We loved the location just minutes from The Valley with restaurants, grocery stores and The Baths. The Villa is private, safe and spacious. It faces west and has breathtaking views of Mahoe Bay and spectacular sunsets! Comfortable bed! The gourmet kitchen is a dream! If you need it, they've got it and you will never run out of ice! The views from the main living area and the patio and pool are incredible! The landscaping is gorgeous and creates extreme privacy. Excellent snorkeling right off your beach! You do not need to look any further for a Villa, just book it! The McDonald's are wonderful to do business with!

Beautiful Stay on my Favorite Island

This was our first time coming with a large group and renting a villa was perfect. We loved the view, the proximity to an amazing beach, and ease of traveling anywhere on the island with our personal driver, Lionel (a referral from the villa caretaker, Shevy). The pool was great for the kids (ages 5-10), and all the adults loved admiring the view with their favorite beverage! We had groceries delivered by Buck's, which worked out great. The house has all the amenities - all the kitchen stuff, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, etc. The A/C in each room worked great, we loved the outdoor showers (one for each room!), and the WiFi was very fast with a bunch of people on it! Thank you to the owners, and Shevy for all their help with this stay. We are already planning our next trip back! Note for renters with young kids: the kids room is a downstairs room with an exterior door, with direct pool access. Our kids were fine, but I wanted other parents to know.

A Truly Special Villa and Location!

We just returned from our 9th visit to Adagio Villa. We LOVE the place! The location is fantastic for snorkeling on beautiful Mahoe Bay. On this trip we saw turtles, squid, and colorful fish on the beautiful Mahoe Bay. The villa pool is a nice break during the day. We loved playing tennis at the tennis courts. The villa is decorated so lovely. Two of the main floor walls are sliding glass doors that open to an amazing terrace/balcony with a huge dining table. The views are directly of the ocean and the "Dog" Islands. The villa works wonderfully for just two or for a small group. Each bedroom has its own bath and shower. The location is convenient to town or to other local restaurants. This property is spotless and in fantastic working order. The owner was extremely helpful in answering questions, directing us to local activities, and assuring we would be comfortable. I would (and have!) recommended this property to friends and family. It is in a great location. My first choice for lodging on the island!!

Wonderful!

We just returned from Mahoe Bay and stayed at Villa Adagio. This is the second time we rented this villa and both times have just been PERFECT! Brian, the owner, really made everything simple and complied with all our needs. First of all, Leti as well as David were fantastic. One of the babies in our family got very sick the day the storm was passing VG. We did not know where to take her as besides the storm it was a Saturday. I called David and he said that he was going to meet us at the marina and lead us to the health center. (Have in mind that we were in the middle of the storm) We did that and the doctor was able to see her and gave us medicines and comfort. She had a very bad ear infection.David stayed with us at the health center until the doctor saw her. Those are the things that you always remember and be grateful for and this is one of those instances. The house is beautiful, the breeze and quietness of Adagio really make you feel that you want to stay there for the rest of your life. Although we were four couples with children the villa is built in a way that we have plenty of room and privacy. We all really hope to go to Adagio once, or twice or three times more!

Heaven on Earth

A remarkable villa in an exquisite location! Adagio is an exceptionally appointed home away from home. With a great room and substantial patio space for socializing, a kitchen any chef would delight preparing meals in, master bedrooms with private bathrooms and outdoor glass showers. Ideal for families and friends looking for a place to get away from it all, or for adventurers who want to discover Virgin Gorda by land or by sea. Just yards away from some of the most spectacular snorkeling in the Caribbean, on a beach that feels like it was created just for you. Pictures and words cannot capture the beauty of the view, nor the environment the MacDonald's have created at Adagio Villa. I can't wait to return!

This was first visit to Adagio and it was more spectacular than I anticipated. The villa is well laid out with lots of patio space both open and under cover. The view is beautiful and the sunsets better. The bedrooms are large each with a private bathroom. The kitchen is well appointed and all appliances are new. The beach is a three minute walk and crowded would be defined as more than five people! There is good snorkelling just off the beach and a short kayak ride will take you to adjacent beaches. The villa pool is relaxing. A good morning cardio walk is up the road to Nail Bay and even beyond. A rental car is required to visit the rest of the island. Places to visit include the look out at Hogs Heaven, Leverick Bay, Bitter End Yacht Club and The Baths. Top of the Baths is a great place for lunch.

a Most Amazing Place

This was not my first stay at Adagio Villa, and I've already made my arrangements to return next year. This house is so exceedingly well laid out that it works extremely well for mixed groups of family and friends. Mahoe Bay Beach is a 2-minute walk away down the hill, and a busy day there will see maybe 6 other people all day. We tend to get out and try all the various options at other beaches as well. I've even discovered that you can swim from Mahoe Bay to Savannah Bay for a good, long work out. The diving is magnificent -- thank you Dive BVI-- the various parks are delightful, and it is one of the most beautiful, relaxing places to be in the entire world. I'm so grateful to have found this island and this house!

Adagio

Adagio Villa provides a window onto a corner of paradise. Awe inspiring view of Sir Francis Drake Channel keeps you captivated for hours. The great room is wonderfully decorated while the bedrooms have ample space and first class comfort. Some of the best diving in the Caribbean is available around Virgin Gorda and the islands to the south of Tortola made available by the highly competent and professional team of Dive BVI. If you want some exercise, try walking around the mountain - sure to get the cardio rate pumping, while enjoying the many vistas, including the North Channel from Hogs Heaven. Highly recommend Adagio - every comfort of home and more is made available for your use.

Paradise!

Again we returned to Adagio and it just gets better every time. The new kitchen is fabulous and easy to work in. We found everything to be excellent, far beyond what we needed. What a place to relax in or to do some strenuous exercise. The beach at Mahoe Bay is perhaps the best in all of the Caribbean. Terrific swimming and snorkelling. Adagio is what dreams are made of.

10th Visit to Adagio!!! We are the lucky ones!!!

Just returned from a 10 night visit to Adagio. We love the property. We have lovely views of the ocean, beautiful accommodations, great location, tennis courts, and swimming pool. The kitchen is beautifully appointed for cooking in. The location is fantastic. We can just walk to the beach and snorkel right off the beach! If you are lucky, you can even see sea turtles in Mahoe Bay. We highly recommend the property. The owner is so wonderful to work with. The staff at the villa are almost ready to help....I love Adagio!!!

Paradise found!

I can't tell you what a wonderful time we had at Adagio! It was perfect! Everything was in great shape and so well maintained. The kitchen (we like to cook and stay in for dinner) was equipped with anything we could imagine. With wifi and satellite to watch the Super Bowl, we felt well connected, and all was in good working order. David was very helpful and arranged for Elvis (Rush) to cook for us one night...lobster on the grill, shrimp, mahi, and key lime pie...they were delightful and the food fantastic. We only wished we had booked two months instead of 16 days! They layout of the bedrooms makes it comfortable for two people, and great for more (we had guests for part of the time) They are all comparable in size and quality, so couples wouldn't feel shorted in any room. The outside showers were a favorite! Weather was perfect, all in all a dream vacation! When can we come back???? My 100's of pictures have made all of my friends very jealous! We still think Virgin Gorda is a well kept secret that we want to keep that way! Thanks for sharing your paradise!

Perfect

Our stay at Villa Adagio was perfect in all respects! Thanks to the information given us by the Owner along with the Mgmt Co, the trip was seamless and relaxing for our group of 9 traveling from several different locations in the U.S. We spent most of our time at Adagio, on the beach and in the water. We couldn't come up with a good reason to leave - except to visit the Baths and enjoy a fabulous lunch while there. We could not have selected a better place for a group Birthday Cele-cation - great food (thanks Puck!), drink, music and a little football (Roll Tide)! I can not thank Brian enough for his personal attention to help make our trip one we will never forget. Hope to be back in 2 years....!
