Annual Mothers retreat

The place was great, everything just how described big spacious with amazing view I literally watched the sunrise from bed Direct access to the beach We truly enjoyed our stay And yes the elevator worked perfectly And no issues with the hot tub

Family Event

The house was great for our large family! We had family come in from a couple different locations, 14 total guests. The house had plenty of space and there were gathering areas for small groups and enough space for everyone to sit and have a meal together! Everyone had a great time and commented how it was a good fit for our family.

Beach Kids

Great beach, house has nice layout for big family, nice furniture, pool, hot tub... Needs upgrades to cookware, uneven temperature depending on room, floor mats at entries new mattress room 3...regardless we made some really great memories here that 11 kids will never forget!

Great location - great house

This house has a working elevator that really helped our family member in a wheel chair. The property managers were very responsive (we had a problem with the hot tub that they fixed quickly). The Wifi wasn't the best though - hopefully that will be upgraded. All else was terrific.

Wonderful trip, few hiccups

This is a beautiful home and our family had a perfect stay. Home is well stocked with everything we needed and such a nice gathering room for the whole family. Only complaints were that we could not get a couple TVs to work with the remotes. The suite on the 2nd floor TV would not work, and the main floor (2nd floor) TV room off of the dining room television had sound but no video. But those things were minor inconveniences. The house was gorgeous and we had an amazing time with our kids. Thank you.

Beautiful and Spacious Beach Home

Absolutely loved the large kitchen, extra appliances, ice maker, and large dining table. The theater room and pool table provided entertainment without leaving the house. The elevator was quite useful and helped more than one person. So much room and every bedroom has its own bathroom!!! It was absolutely perfect for my daughter’s beach wedding and extended weekend. Balconies with chairs all around. Beautiful pool and surrounding area, even though it was already covered as it was mid October. I do hope they replace the mattresses sooner rather than later.

Very good house for a big crew.

The house is perfect for a group, with lots of space and an amazing, well-stocked kitchen. As a house that hosts lots of people some of the finishes are a bit tired, but the layout is wonderful and the pool/beach are big draws. I love that the pool gates kept our little crew safe. The theatre room is fun and we had a great time! We did have one issue (electrical problem in the kitchen) on day one, but the Vacasa team responded quickly and our issue was resolved early on Monday.

Great House!!

This is a great house for a multiple family vacation. Each bedroom is very spacious has its own private bathroom. There are also two half baths. The kitchen is huge and has everything you need. The theater room was a big hit, especially with the kids. The “kiddie pool” was not working and needs repaired but the main pool was really nice. Would definitely rent this house again!

Great House for a large group retreat

Multiple appliances in the kitchen made cooking for a crowd very enjoyable. Also really enjoyed the theater for our off season trip.

Not quite the dream vacation home

We were the guest that followed some spring breakers. We walked into a place that had beer bottles and trash outside and in some rooms, a broken lamp and pool table. The elevator was broken, which they tried to fix but were unable to fix. This was very disappointing and the reason we chose this home. Some of the furniture has been well used, bunk beds were not very comfortable, dishwashers and grill didn't work.

Needs thorough DEEP cleaning

Beautiful house, needs a thorough deep cleaning. Kitchen is beautiful and well equipped. Linens and bedspreads need washed for the bunk beds. One bedspread was stained and should not have been used.. we enjoyed our stay and the house was large accompdate all.

Not so dreamy of a beach house

The view of the ocean and the private beach were wonderful. We however followed guests that were not nice to the house or their property. It was left with items broken and trash throughout. Vassa did attempt to fix the broken elevator, but unfortunately they were unable to get it working. Broken down couches and uncomfortable mattresses in some of the rooms. For the money we paid, it just wasn't worth the cost.

Family reunion

Super easy check in process. House was big enough for our family. Loved that every bedroom had it's own bathroom. There were a few things that were damaged when we got to the rental house. We took pictures just in case but I would definitely stay there again.

Needs some work but great

Location location location! Also really enjoyed the spacious rooms. The hot tub cover was in 2 pieces when we arrived and had no way to be tied down. One bedroom door had no screen; 1bAthroom had a broken towel bar; 1 burner on stove did not work; theater room controls were a mess! The guy who came to assist us needed an hour to get it operable, and then we still couldn't stream from computer s. Overall the house was clean, and kitchen well-stocked!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I am a prominent business owner in Hampton Roads and I rent these homes out annually. This was by far the WORST experience! Anything from the house being filthy to not one bed being made as my guest was arriving. My husband and the one staff member they sent over tried to make the beds and didn't finish until after 8pm! The refrigerator was disgusting, there was red mold on the shower head (which one of my guest is highly allergic to), a shelf in the cabinet fell and caused one of my guest to fall back, candles were left in the window seal (obviously from a prior event), a jacket was hanging on the stairs, neither dishwasher worked and leaked the whole weekend without us using it...and so on! I have all the pictures as proof which in fact was emailed to management. As a professional business owner, my husband and I tried to get things resolved with management and was told, "This was a part of what could happen with rentals.” Therefore, she did not issue a cleaning fee refund or discount any portion of my fees paid...when in fact I had another business weekend happening three weeks after. This could have been resolved in house, but unfortunately, all we received was a tasteless apology from a manager who claimed to have been in the field for over 20 years. The most help we received was being told we do have a choice when renting these homes, and I can say the lesson was learned. We will take our business elsewhere and you should too!

Great layout but needs more cleaning attention

This is the 2nd time at this house - 2 years apart. We really like the layout for our large extended family - providing privacy for all. The house has wonderful open rooms on all levels to either be together or spread out. This house has everything you would want - movie room, pool table, foosball table, swimming pool, a wonderful huge kitchen - great for large groups. We love the covered porches. The swimming pool on the side is well set for little children and even though it is fenced - we added our our chains and combination locks to ensure safety. We would like it a little better if this beach allowed board walkovers on the dunes (as some beaches do) and with this soft sand it is a struggle to get over but not a huge deal. It appears Vacasa is going through some issues getting the cleanliness up to the right level. Clean is clean and it did not meet the mark. I know many companies are having trouble getting staff so we give them some wiggle room. Vacasa did try to fix some issues and sent back staff to correct several things, credited our cleaning fee but having to call multiple times was not what I wanted to do on my vacation. Most of the locals were nice and tried to correct what they could. Vacasa did not make it easy to connect with the local house cleaning team as it appears the number they give to you is somewhere overseas and their desire to text with me was annoying. I would rent this house again - if I could confirm some updates had been made and assured the house would be well cleaned.

Beautiful spacious house

House was quite spacious. We loved the elevator, especially for my MIL. The attached kiddie pool with the main private pool was absolutely perfect for the toddler aged kids. Pool table was missing a few balls when we arrived, but maintenance quickly resolved that issue. The theater room was fantastic especially for the evenings when getting the kids settled down. I would recommend upgrading to a bigger TV though. Some other suggestions: build some sort of walkway to the top of the sand dune. We actually built up the bottom step from the back deck with sand ourselves because the drop was quite large — especially for older folks. The hill to climb to get to the beach was steep. A sign in the kitchen to tell us when garbage day was would be helpful. Biggest suggestion of all, new mattresses. I don’t think one guest was comfortable in the bed they slept in. Overall, a lovely stay.

Highly recommended

This home is bright, expansive and very comfortable. Well appointed with large rooms. great for extended families; with space for privacy and get togethers. Upgraded appliances in the kitchen make meal times an adventure. We loved it!
