I am a prominent business owner in Hampton Roads and I rent these homes out annually. This was by far the WORST experience! Anything from the house being filthy to not one bed being made as my guest was arriving. My husband and the one staff member they sent over tried to make the beds and didn't finish until after 8pm! The refrigerator was disgusting, there was red mold on the shower head (which one of my guest is highly allergic to), a shelf in the cabinet fell and caused one of my guest to fall back, candles were left in the window seal (obviously from a prior event), a jacket was hanging on the stairs, neither dishwasher worked and leaked the whole weekend without us using it...and so on! I have all the pictures as proof which in fact was emailed to management. As a professional business owner, my husband and I tried to get things resolved with management and was told, "This was a part of what could happen with rentals.” Therefore, she did not issue a cleaning fee refund or discount any portion of my fees paid...when in fact I had another business weekend happening three weeks after. This could have been resolved in house, but unfortunately, all we received was a tasteless apology from a manager who claimed to have been in the field for over 20 years. The most help we received was being told we do have a choice when renting these homes, and I can say the lesson was learned. We will take our business elsewhere and you should too!
