Amazing deal!

The property was super clear and easy to access. You are literally minutes from the national park visitor center, which was important for us. We were nervous about the water situation but it was truly no big deal! The hosts left 5 gallons of drinking water which was more than enough. If you're looking for an affordable place to base out of to do volcano national park, I would strongly recommend this spot!!!

Great place to stay if exploring the Volcano area and Hilo! You park just off the road, but it’s a very quite community and you still feel secluded!

Volcano is a rural area, and this lodge is no different. The grounds are beautiful. This property is great for people who appreciate the outdoors. I was happy that the shower was HOT, as it gets cold in Volcano. Some things that would've made our stay a little better are: a portable fan, a larger dehumidifier, and bottled water. Note: the hosts provided drinking water in a beverage dispenser, however I would've preferred bottled water. The space was a little tight for our group of 4; I would recommend 3 people max in this unit.

Beautiful Spot

We loved staying at this beautiful little cottage in the jungle! It was clean and comfortable. The windows have a great view of the jungle. The property was gorgeous and the path to the hot tub was wonderful to stroll through. The hot tub was excellent and had beautiful nature views as well. Lots of flowers around! Our spot felt very private and we couldn’t hear people in the other units. Very enjoyable overall!

This property is situated in a rainforest like area. However, the house/ rooms are dated. The area is humid and the humidity impacts everything. The room was not the cleanest and while I was there the water went out. There was not the best communication as to when the water was fixed and complete. There are other places near here that are better to stay.

These pictures are totally misleading. This is not a nice place, the outdoor area is especially dirty and not safe to walk it. We thought we would have our own hot tub. NO, it is a long, unsafe walk from the unit and the water looked milky, not clean. It is so dark at night and there are no night lights, so I had a serious fall, still bruised a week later.
The ceiling to the hot tub is covered with mold
The light at the entrance is covered with spider webs, obviously not cleaned in years
The landscaping around the hot tub has not been kept up, and is unsafe to walk on
