Nestled up on the way to Mt Minobu, it's close to Kuonji Temple and the Ropeway, which you can reach on foot (though there is a bit of an incline.) The hosts were friendly and the room was exceptionally modern whilst set in a more traditional guesthouse building. Meals were also a highlight as they were well balanced and delicious.

This is a once in a lifetime experience. Beautiful hotel built in the mountains above free flowing river. It was like taking a step back and getting a glimpse of Japan past. Highly recommend

"Easy walk to my destination and to a grocery store. Quiet, nice shower, nice desk in the room, friendly staff though not necessarily English-speaking. Wished it had a rack to put my suitcase on, and after the first night I made sure to pick up a more comfortable pillow. Breakfast room was very small ..."

"I've used this hotel many times for more than one week at a time, but they never greet me such as "Welcome back!" or "Thank you for using the hotel always." They are always too business like. I hope they are a bit more friendly. The hotel is very comfortable to stay though!"
