Pekny hotelovy komplex, dobra restaurace hned naproti hotelu, trochu boj o lehatka. Pláz ztrhlo moře, ale opravuji pristup k mori jinak kousek vedle hotelu plaze ok jen trochu vlny.

It was an not a modern building which I like. The only thing that I did not like was the Front office check in staff who were not accommodating. It was a great pity as the rest of the staff were awesome.

Es war schön, dass das Zimmer etwas früher bezogen werden konnte. Ansonsten war der kurze Aufenthalt vor dem Rückflug insgesamt okay, entsprach aber keinesfalls unseren Erwartungen. Das Personal war nicht sehr serviceorientiert. Frühstück mittelmäßig und sehr viel Trubel. Leider auch kein schöner Strandabschnitt vor dem Hotel, Baden eher schlecht. Alternative Essensmöglichkeiten rings um das Hotel vorhanden.

The property was quite good with a very nice environment. However, we had to cancel the booking done through Expedia as Expedia has sub-contracted our reservations through Neckermann Reisen and did not even inform us. Due to Thomas Cook Group insolvency, the hotel was not willing to honour the reservation, for which we had already paid for. I wrote to Expedia on this and up to now not received any response. WE HAD TO PAY TO THE HOTEL A SECOND TIME DIRECTLY COSTING A LOT OF MONEY ?????

Excellent hotel in the location

Pleasant stay at Tangerine with helpful reception staff. Food is easily available with options outside of the hotel limited unless you venture out somewhere. Amenities around the pool are good with a bar, cafe and gym.

Refugium mit tropischem Flair

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Hotel befand sich direkt am Meer. Was bedeutet, dass es extrem schwer ist bei der Luftfeuchtigkeit und dem Meersalz das Gebäude in Schuss zu halten. Im Vergleich zu den umliegenden Wohnhäusern ist die Hotelsnlage gut. Das Essen war gut. Es gab nicht nur Landestypische Küche. Der 1,2 Km entfernte Supermarkt war tadellos. Und gut sortiert. Das Meer war etwas rau und nicht badetauglich. Dafür gab es einen guten Pool. Wer aber tropisches Flair sucht weg von Massentourismus ist dort gut aufgehoben. Man muss sich aber bewusst machen, dass Srilanka kein europäisches Land ist und auch viel Armut aufweist.

A place to unwind and relax.

Ideal location and beach is next to hotel. Distant to city is convenient and transportation are good. Breakfast is good and variety of choices. Staff are very polite and friendly.

It was clean but all rooms smells of damp to the point you can not sleep because you feel it in your lungs! Staff serving pool area are very rude people, they treat badly Womens and but ignore the same man behave! I felt like I am lady and have rights in their hotel because I am not man! I was removed from pool for wearing top in pool ( the man shouted at me loudly to go out) then after my complain to manager staff realised I am not at wrong and they allowed me to use it. Few days later I could see Sri Lankan men wearing cotton top in he pool ( it is not hygienic for pool) but nobody told him to go out of pool. Also I complained twice that men was smoking in the pool and nobody sorted it out. Cigarette ash was in the pool from his cigaret but it did not bother staff at all. I was told they will tell him not to but then he stayed whole day in the pool smocking and it was ignored by staff! This is our first out of 20 hotels where we stayed and felt terrible and upset every few days. Unfortunately we stayed 3 weeks there and had to put up with it ! If you want nice calm holidays do not choose this hotel. They are better hotels where actually woman is the same important as man!

Ideal for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Staff very attentive and the Resident Manager went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. However, absence of a lift and numerous steps to climb made it less friendly to senior citizens The manager did say that steps are being taken to rectify these shortcomings

Everything was perfect. The beach, the pool, the staff, the rooms, the resort itself and the food was delicious. We stayed 5 days and we absolutely loved it. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Great for Americans in Kalutara

Great staff, great pool and great room. The front desk was very accommodating to my requests. I was told I was the only American they'd ever seen there, so hopefully I made a good impression.

Lovely hotel with a decent gym and pool!

Lovely hotel, good selection of food for breakfast compared to other hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka, great staff, best gym in a the hotels we stayed in and a lovely large pool. Our room was a duplex with the bed on a mezzanine floor and a second washroom upstairs and we had a fab sea view to watch the sunset from our balcony. The room was dated looking, I believe the hotel was built some time ago, but that didn't bother us as was clean and housekeeping was great. The only downside for us was the location, not much outside the hotel, the beach was a bit scruffy and the railway ran nearby. Some decent small restaurants nearby but if staying for a week or two theres not a lot in walking distance.
