Upper Ho’opi’i Falls is a small waterfall along Kapa’a Stream. It’s near the town of Kapa’a on the east side of Kauai. I’ve been to +16 islands, and this has to be the prettiest waterfall I have ever experienced. When I was crossing the top of the falls, I fell, gear and all. Luckily I was able to absorb most the impact of my gear (flat on my back). One foot closer to the edge, and I would have surely slid down the falls to the vicious bottom. Kauai, Hawaii

"Overall the stay was adequate. Grounds were well maintained, it was quiet and Housekeeping did a nice job. The pool and spa area are dated and undersized for this property. The amenity's offered was mid leading and a Las Vegas switch and bait. The beach area in front of the property was littered with cig butts and dirty. Not sure if this is something on the hotel or county to maintain."

"Great location for all activities on Kauai. Steps away from great restaurants and groceries in area. If you enjoy a beach walk or bike ride it was definitely a plus being on the bike path that runs through Kapaa. Great bike rental shop at the end of the street. Clean and well stocked. Really enjoyed the back porch with the ocean breeze."

"We enjoyed our stay overall as the location was amazing ! When we emailed the property manager we got a response fairly quickly and they addressed our issues with the exception of a very slow draining sink in the kitchenette. We managed but dishes would have been easier with a properly draining sink I would absolutely recommend this property and will definitely be back if we are back on Kauai ! "

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at this Kapa'a, Kauai house. This is a true beach house and not a new, modern place. But we loved the ocean breezes that kept the house cool, the well-stocked kitchen, and the lovely, deep front porch. The layout worked for us and each bedroom had its own bathroom. We were provided with beach chairs, an umbrella, and towels, as well as snorkeling equipment. The house is only about 7 miles from the airport and near the old town of Kapa'a so there were lots of shops, coffee spots, and restaurants/food trucks close by. There is also a nice walking/running path along the coast that is quickly accessible. I would rent this house again in a second. (The rental is handled by an agency and communication is not through the VRBO app once you book. This caused us some confusion initially.)"
